Snake gourd recipe
Ingredients:
2-3 Snake gourds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Oil
A pinch of asafoetida
2 Red chilies
3-5 Garlic cloves
1 stem curry leaves
Mixture of dals
Mixture of dals include - mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal
Method:
1. Peel the snake gourd and chop it into small pieces. Remove the seeds if desired.
2. Transfer it to a bowl Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix it well (this will make the snake gourd watery)
3. Heat the oil in a kadai. Add asafoetida, mixture of dals, red chillies, garlic, and curry leaves. Sauté well
4. Finally squeeze out water from the snake gourd and add it to the kadai. Mix it well.
5. Now cover the kadai with a lid and cook until the snake gourd softens.
6. Snake gourd is ready, serve hot and enjoy!
