Being an electrical engineer I can say that is true and could produce 4.5 volts but the current is probably incredibly tiny.

Been making these for years... Think red yellow and orange have best output. Standard 5mm roundtop LEDs.. Over wide-angle available LEDs.. Assumptions are correct about low current, however, cumulative values are possible with step up buck converters and/or what not...

I don't trust ANY video where the person or persons doing the "demonstrating" cover any & all background sounds, fail to list the JAN-style part-numbers, etc. While it IS true that certain LEDs can produce SOME voltage when photons of light strike the internal junction, there's no POWER; it's only VOLTAGE with no CURRENT behind it, similar to a "surface-charge" on a "dead-&-brought-back-to-life" Lead-Acid battery.

U could have used photo diode. Or at least non programmed led only those can convert some light to electricity but not efficient at all compare to how much u can get from solar panels nowadays

Since you provide no list of what you used I will have to call bullshit. LEDs don't generate a voltage when they are exposed to light. They're not like a dc motor where if you put the light into the led it will output a voltage.
