How to make southern red rice with sausage recipe. This is a Gullah Geechee red rice recipe.
Ingredients:
3 cups of parboiled rice
Diced smoked sausage
1 medium dice onion
1 diced green bell pepper
1 can diced or crushed tomatoes
16 oz of tomato sauce
1 8OZ can of tomato paste
2 cup water
2 tablespoons crushed garlic
1 tablespoons black pepper
1 to 2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
3 chicken bouillon cubes
1/4 cup cooking oil
Bake in 350 degrees oven for 35 to 45 minutes.

Has anyone ever seen this dish with cheddar cheese on the top of it? I grew up in South Carolina and ate it all the time as a child, haven’t been able to find the recipe but I’m pretty sure it’s just this with grated cheddar cheese on top of it for the last 10 minutes or so.

Red rice is not a knock off of anything it's red rice or southern red rice, i was born in Mississippi, The delta 2 be exact.. and we was raised eating this & my family also. Its not a knock off of anything its red rice, let's not mislead people. & Give our credit and recipes to other people. All love & No love lost, good vid
