Excellent! I've seen this kind of corner joint in woodworking videos that didn't incorporate a second orthogonal (the piece 90 degrees from the cut/bent piece). It would be nice if the open end could be covered by a couple of 45 degree cuts coming together.

I don't know about welding, but I haven't seen or heard this kind of welding in my country. How is it called?

Mig, but more appropriately Mag. He only spot welded, it would normally be used to run a bead just like stick. The wire is a spool in the machine that is speed controlled and released by the operator via the trigger. The cup surrounding that wire releases a measured amount of inert gas that prevents oxidation of the material just like the outer layer of Flux on stick welding. This is a very easy way to weld. If you want to learn welding best to start with stick and move on from there. You will learn more, more quickly.
