突きは空手の超基本だけど、やっぱりこれまで突いてきた経験の差は大きく出るね。でも先生教え方が上手だから白の方々も上達している様がすごくよく見えて、そういうところも素敵な動画。

Taka sensei with the white belt is always funny to see. Choku tsuki is the first waza taught and learned when someone begins the journey of Karate. But simple and easy are not synonymous... Great use of gamaku, I use to introduce it at my students from green belt.

I've trained with Naka sensei many times in France and Japan -- and every time I learn something new from him. His teaching method is excellent in the way that he doesn't only explain the "what" and "how" of the technique, but the "why"... (skeletal alignment, grounding, use of hip-rotation, etc.)

0:20 Limb Notations: ( 1 Opposite Arm, 2 Dominant Arm, 3 Opposite Leg, 4 Dominant Leg ) Naka Sensei has his 2 extended. Notice how he torques his body by the liverage of his shoulders. He is not taking back the fist (2), he is recoiling the extension of 2. At the end of the torque 1 is allowed to extend. He is not pushing with intension, but rather directs the torque towards the "line" he wants his 1 to be extended (not intentionally punching). You can slow the video down to notice the torque transfer among his shoulders.

Could please somebody explain what Naka Sensei says about this double back and forth hip in the same movement in tsuki and hikite? Or he is just pushing at the end his pelvis high as he showed in the beginning? It would be appreciate it!

Hola una pregunta desde mi punto de ignorancia Porque cuando se gira la cintura para golpear, la cintura vuelve a su lugar de origen sin que acompañe el brazo alguien me puede decir a q se debe y q se beneficia? Muchas gracias

el golpe debe salir con impulso cinético, transmitir de los pies, caderas y al final en los brazos... al momento que la cintura vuelve a su lugar hay 2 cosas que deben pasar al instante, ya debe impactar el golpe y tener el "hikite"...
