BAHAMA MAMA
INGREDIENTS
.5 oz/15 ml Grenadine
1 oz/30 ml White Rum
1 oz/30 ml Coconut Rum
2 oz/60 ml Orange Juice
2 oz/60 ml Pineapple Juice
.5 oz/15 ml Dark Rum
METHOD
1. Build in glass in order of ingredients.
2. Garnish with Orange Wheel and Maraschino Cherry.

This is a great cocktail, simple and easy. Its just what I needed after along day. Its so easy to drink that you might have a couple and be ready for bed :).

... this video started with an ice crusher shaker like thing too ...perfect to make this in ? ... cocktail is refreshing ...makes me think of a shore somewhere ...good job ...Mmmm Gosling floater too ... nice ...

Thank you. Yes you could make this in a blender. or you could shake it. They would both give you different consistences. But they would be great too.

On the back deck or in the hawse, (love the accent from the Yukon). I read thru your comments and I need to make more homemade Grenadine, for mine is approaching it's lifespan. The Goslings is a great floater. I've even seen more potent Gosling at the store. Many places by me use Myers. I'm always in for large rum drinks. Sláinte!

YA so many variants. The one I enjoy that has coffee liqueur added. Works so good. The Bahama Mama ¼ oz (7.5ml) coffee liqueur ½ oz (15ml) dark rum ½ oz (15ml) coconut rum ¼ oz (7.5ml) overproof rum ½ oz (15ml) fresh lemon juice 2 oz (60ml) pineapple juice

Looks good! How long does your Grenadine last? I hesitate to make my own because I rarely make drinks with Grenadine

I recommend two weeks, however if you add .5 oz/15 ml of vodka it will last two months

@@boozeontherocks thanks..that's why I tend to not make syrups other than simple, demerara or honey... anything with fruit or nuts, etc... just ends up going to waste. I wouldn't even go through a bottle of grenadine in a year! :P

The only exception being Cream of Coconut for Pina Coladas in the summertime..mainly because I can't find coco lopez here. My recipe is great but after 2-3 weeks, you risk it getting moldy... that's why you have to make LOTS of pina coladas! :D

Lots of Pina Colada's is always a good time :) I just use a straight coconut cream. And I have to use it faster or it dries out.
