I originally go this idea from an old video put out by The Wood Whisperer. His version was a little simplistic for my taste so I decided to revamp it a bit. The Grasshopper pull toy is a classic wooden toy that has been around for quite some time, so I really wanted to try my hand at my own version, making it look a bit more like an actual grasshopper. Wooden toys are a great way to hone in on basic woodworking skills and a great way to keep the kids off of the screens. I hope this video inspires you to try your hand at some classic wooden toys.
