How to make magic props, easy step by step tutorial

Hello, I finished making my "Impossible Ring" yesterday. I used balsa wood and finished it with faces of playing cards on all sides and a Joker on the front sliding panel. As for the workings, I used a few very strong circular magnets in addition to the "flap" which catches the ring that is dropped into the top of the cabinet. It works like a charm, and is one of my favorite magic props that I have made in my 47 years of being a hobbyist. Thanks again for sharing the video instructions on how to make it! Cheers!

Wicked! Can’t believe you don’t have more subs yet?! Darn KZfaq is a pain.

I just found this channel, nice tricks you have. For this one, it might be neat to make the truck face some form of funnel so the actual ring tunnels to the correct spot. The hardest part is droping it hard enough without falling through but i think with a bit of clever design could be done. Like a thin card to stop it at the right place but easily bends out of the way when you pull the front off of it. But very nice gimmics you have.

I applaud your decision making process to choose the color you would paint the inside of the box. 😂😂😂 Btw the red is perfect.

Hi and thanks for your educational and informative channel. A suggestion - rather than use inches and the exact metric conversion, tidy up both sets of numbers, ie 3" is about 75mm and 7" is about 180mm. Unless there is a need for a very precise measurement. Keep up the great work.

Don thank you for all you do on your KZfaq videos. I made this with “foam board”. It’s about 3/16 thick and it comes in all colors and easy to cut.

Looks like an odd variation of Kenard’s Mystery Box! Great effect though!

This video is perfect. First the effect or the performance, then the construction and finally the explanation. The black rod shows very nicely against the red backgrounds. I would paint the exterior in some other color rather than black. By the way. Even I don't like card tricks.

A wonderful illusion with a simple solution, but this simplicity is what fools us. Excellent! I will be constructing this for sure! I've seen the exact same illusion selling for $200 Canadian. Thank you, and I have subscribed to your channel.

Don't teach Magic on the internet! The first rule of magic is a magician never Reveals His secrets! And it's getting harder and harder to perform when 6-year-olds are saying oh I've seen that on tiktok, if you are a real performer that's getting paid thousands of dollars you will be upset about this

Thank you for this video. I've seen this done on a much smaller scale in another video, but I very much appreciate you making it in a size more in liking for a performance in front of a group of people.

You will never be able to do this in confidence in front of someone, these people are coming on here and ruining magic if you wanted to know how it's done you should have went to a magic store. But these amateurs are out here destroying Magic for likes on KZfaq
@johnedgemon1184 Жыл бұрын
@@davidshareefChTPhD Actually, I disagree - heavily. If showing how magic is done was destroying magic, then there would be far, far fewer magicians than there are now, as all magicians would be protecting their secrets as if they were the end-all-be-all of existence. Also, if showing how tricks are done is destroying magic, then magic would have been fully destroyed after about 3-4 years of the Magic: exposed series with the masked magician giving away all the secrets (just for ratings). If anything, showing how these tricks are done, forces the real magicians out there to step up their game to keep ahead of the crowds that are learning the secrets. The magicians can't keep doing the same old tricks for their entire career. Meanwhile, the minor magicians (like me), can still learn magic, despite the fact that we don't have large sums of money to apprentice with a master magician or travel long distances to a magic shop, or even pay exorbitant prices on some of the more "impactful" effects and can still put on a decent show for smaller crowds. So, yeah, I heavily disagree with you.

Amazing illusion did you make up these tricks or just the making of the boxes?
@letsmakemagic8233Ай бұрын
Not my idea, I'm just interested in how a trick works and then how to make it.

You could also use a magnet on the back, and a metal ring :) Rather than a box
@letsmakemagic8233 Жыл бұрын
Yes, that would do it

Amazing piece of work. By the way, is this how the actual trick works, or is this your own interpretation?
@letsmakemagic8233 Жыл бұрын
I believe it is the standard way the trick works
