Күн бұрынToday on Booze On The Rocks, we show you How To Make The Spring Fever Cocktail. This tasty gin cocktail is bang on and does not leave an aftertaste. It is very pretty and makes want to sit on the deck and relax. this is one of those easy cocktails with gin that you can go back to over and over again.

SPRING FEVER
2 oz/60 ml Empress 1908 Gin (Split)
.75/22.5 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz/15 ml Honey Syrup
3 oz/90 ml Grapefruit Soda
METHOD
1. Pour 1 oz/30 ml Gin into shaker with Lemon Juice and Honey Syrup.
2. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
3. Put ice into a large wine goblet
4. Add 1 slice of lemon between the ice and the inside of the goblet.
5. Strain and pour into glass.
6. Float 1 oz/30 ml gin.

This cocktail was an interesting find. if your not a gin fan try stirring the drink before you try it. It changes the flavor slightly and will change how the gin interacts with the ol' taste buds.

I used lemon-water ice cube to give it a little bit of oomf to it, making it okay when the ice melts

Got this cocktail as one of the cocktails I need to know for a job interview and this video helped me a lot! The only two differences is that they asked to use peach syrup instead of honey and also add 3/4oz of limoncello. But it is basically almost the same. Thanks a lot!

I love this drink. Pea flower makes for fun experiments. The only change I do I use fresh grapefruit juice with sparkling water instead of the grapefruit soda.

The fresh grape fruit is an excellent idea. I stayed with the ingredients that Empress posted. However my wife cannot have grapefruit. So this worked for her. The original image that I saw showed more orange in the bottom of the drink. ???

Basically an alteration off the classic tom collins. Try it with empress elderflower- even better. I use soda water or sprite

ive made similar but instead of Honey syrup i used a pear and thyme infused simple syrup and plain club soda but i like the idea of the grapefruit soda. i dont think you can go wrong with minor flavor tweaks in the syrup or soda.

Just got a bottle of Empress and enjoyed it. If you buy Roku and some butterfly pea flowers off Amazon, you can have something similar and safe yourself like $15

What's your opinion on adding St. Germain and replacing the honey syrup with lavender syrup?

You could add both of those, I would do it in small amount so that you can get the sweetness and the flavors to balance out. If you do try it please let me know how it turned out for you and what ratios you settled on.

Consider a spoond/ladle/anything over your own hand when grabbin' them ice. Your videos are fun&professionally made, but at least my soul hurts a tiny bit everytime that hand goes into the ice bucket :D

Heya David, me again lol. Was just enquiring, if i had to infuse say bombay sapphire with some berries. then compile the cocktail as so, do you think that would work?

you could try that, you would need to use berries that well well with the gin. However to get the effect that I did, you would need to infuse your gin with Butterfly Pea Flower. This will give you the deep purple that colour changes when you add any citrus to it..

You could use an Agave syrup or a Rich Simple syrup.
