I love the desk and think you color choice was perfect for your application. As always, I am deeply impressed with the caliber of gentleman you are and the wonderful craftsman you have become. You have grown so much over these years, and you have managed to maintain you humility and grow your enthusiasm. Thank you for being such an outstanding example and leader to both the woodworking community and our young adults. I am humbled and honored to follow you and to call you friend.

It's hard to align dowels perfectly without a proper jig but you did it somehow. That's amazing.

A lot of good tips here for beginners like me, such as how to mark the holes from one piece of wood to another and backing up wood with a scrap piece to make the exit holes cleaner. Ironing on that banding looked pretty tedious but the end result was worth it, that's a great looking modern gaming desk.

Glad I came across your video as I am planning to build a desk for my home office. Video is well produced, and the simplicity in which you explain the process is appreciated. Glad to subscribe to your channel.

Maybe you could do a sim racing build out of wood ;) You're partway there already with the sweet triple monitor setup.

Nicely done desk. Very simple design and easy to follow along with your build

Now on your go kart. It’s a very good build but a couple words of caution. Get too high and fast and you lose your low center of gravity advantage thus flipping on tight corner (happened more than once to me maybe smaller tires we used either 10 or 12 inch.). Add a kill switch it’s very important (go ahead and ask why.). I used to race go karts, the best was on frozen lakes. That kill switch is very vital in case of an accident and long pants are a must. So when are you going to build a 2 seater? Comes in handy when showing off to a potential date!

Great to have you back making videos! Nice build. If I were to build this desk, I’d mount the legs with hanger bolts and brackets so I could disassemble it for easier transportation (but that’s just my situation). Thanks for posting. (BTW, I’m in SE Michigan.)

You made the right choice. It looks great with that badass racing office chair. Another option for the table would be to make drawers that stopped a bit short of the back to create a cable raceway and hide a power strip.

I like the black, even though you are covering nice wood grain, but the grain still shows. I recall the desk you built a couple years ago with the black and it looked sharp. It's great to see you back and wish more younger people would get into woodworking. It's been a struggle getting my 12yo more into it, so hopefully your videos from the past and future will help inspire him, especially from when you were younger as he can see how much you've grown in woodworking. He thinks you should know all from the get go, lol. Oh, and get your safety glasses on! :P Not just for the wood, but if you were to have a tooth break off the blade, that will get ugly fast. So, be safe! Looking forward to more videos!

If you keep cutting long boards with short width like that you will get a kick back on the table saw..... without safety glasses that could be very bad. Use a miter saw or a sled on the table saw. With that said. I do love your videos and how you explain things

It looks great. I wouldn’t have installed fake drawers. I always need more space for storage, so I may have gone with real drawers. I’d be worried that a guest would try to open a “drawer” and flip the desk over. Thanks for sharing the project with us.

Nice Desk, why so narrow only just enough space for your monitors and a keyboard? also maybe a good idea to wear safety gear when cutting wood, a splinter in the eye can lead to blindness just saying a set of goggles would go a long way

I can't seem to get my dowels to line up no matter what I do. I mean once I put the drill on the markings, the drill moves! And when I join the pieces together they don't go all the way in and are wobbly. I even hammer them in and there's still a gap.

I liked the project and I gave a thumbs up. I have to say though that I really dislike the concept of the false drawer. Why waste the hardware on something that doesn't work! This is not a dig at you. I don't understand why anyone does it. Also, not sure on the ergonomics of the desk. It looks like the keyboard is a little high for you.

I`m retired and have a small shop where I carry out woodturning, create musical instruments, and a bit of cabinetry. I found this woodworking guide, “Bαzοmο Tdy Plαn” (Google it), and acquired it even though I have several woodworking books at home. It is the most detailed book I`ve seen. It has good coverage on each and every subject matter. .
