Old tools, some nuts, that’s all you need to make this metal art sculpture.
This sculpture is made by Brutus Metal Art.
Because the metal off old tools is very hard I have to forged it to bend the tools.

How nice to see your again. As always your did a nice job on the video and the sculpture. As I was watching, I kept on trying to guess you next move. The pile of nuts took me by surprise. I like him. He is simple in design yet he has essence of strength. It is so neat how you take old things and give them new life. I wish that you could give me new life because I am old and broken. Keep up the good work and thanks for the video.

Love your videos, sure wish I had your creativity as well as your equipment! I’m a retired 65 yo nurse, and I’ve just started doing a little creating, but using fluxcore…..very frustrating, not the best method. Maybe some day I’ll graduate to regular Mig. In the past, I’ve made jewelry using a small oxy/propane setup. I sure do enjoy your videos!

@@CathyLPN I understand your frustration using flux core. I have used it for years but since I do not do professional welding, it will be fine. Just a little more grinding to clean it. I make some metal art but Brutus does better quality. Click on my icon if you want to see some of my art. Keep on working at it and your will find your own style of art.

@alanm3438 Thanks so much for your words of encouragement, I’ll have to take a look at your art. I’m looking forward to the warmer weather so that I can work more on projects outside. I don’t have the proper ventilation inside, so I haven’t been able to spend as much time practicing. Hopefully I’ll become a bit better…..my pieces are small and I keep burning through everything…lol. Soldering jewelry seems to be much less complicated for me 🙂, but I’ve wanted to learn welding since I was in my 20’s. Happy creating!

@@CathyLPN I took a art welding class at a local college a long time ago. It had a lot of girls in the class who had not used a welder before. They had a lot of artistic talent. Working with thin metal and small parts is very hard. I have to turn down the heat or power and just use tack welds. Some things just take time to learn. Just work with some scraps until you get used to it. I have a small home welder. I use the flux core wire because I do not want to mess with the shielding gas; it is very expensive. Another thing that is helpful is clams. A couple of long nose vice grips really help hold your parts. You can do this. Steel is very expensive so when I take my trash to the recycle center I look for things in the metal pile, like a small bike.
