Pagefire has taught us all about how to play all kinds of metal subgenres and at this point the concept of the division of songs via genre has been proven unnecessary, yet modernized metal couldn't sound any more different between bands if they were in a game of "amogus." I apologize for bringing up amogus, it was the most relevant situation I could think of to get my point across. But further more, I'd love to thank everyone currently and formally working at pagefire for these surprisingly helpful tips and lessons of the many cultural genres that consist of well-known to what the hell is a noisecore, jimbo? All in a well edited, greatly written comedic package. I learn a little too much at times, but I'm down for more.

Love this. Although, thrash, and many metal sub-genres, deserves a lot of credit for the amount of talent and dedication to music it involves when you consider the complexity of a lot of the song arrangements, drum beats and fills, guitar riffs, and not to mention guitar solos. A lot of those guys know music theory more than college professors and have spent hours upon hours over decades honing their techniques. For example you'll rarely hear a boring riff from Mustaine, Eric Peterson, Jeff Hanneman or Scott Ian. And some of the lead guitarists who've played over those riffs, Alex Skolnick, Chris Poland/Marty Friedman, Jeff Waters, Gary Holt, Rocky George, and of course Kirk Hammet, are absolute wizards on guitar who play not only lightning fast licks but compose incredible melodic compositions for their leads. And who's ever heard a boring/generic drum beat or fill from Dave Lombardo or Gar Samuelson? I remember I had this guy visiting me who was a classical guitarist who never listened to any kind of mainstream music be it metal or pop music, and he heard some Megadeth playing on my stereo and asked me if it was fusion. Anyways.... LOVE the videos! Keep em coming! *EDIT* : (before I get ripped apart here lol) I'm fully aware the theories and opinions I attest to are fully present in almost all music to a certain degree. So I'm in NO WAY implying that these apply only to Thrash, or any metal for that matter, *OBVIOUSLY* . (FFS. Even GLAM metal had some incredible musicians in it's day!)
