It's not magic but it feels like it. With Megadap MTZ11 adapter you can autofocus with pretty much any manual lens - as long as you can adapt it to Leica-M mount.

If Leica made one for L mount, it would cost an arm and a leg! The simple L to M adaptor costs £350.

WOW you got a great copy of your Helios. I had to try 3 different one off of ebay to get one I liked. I am really thinking of getting this since I do have a lot of old glass. I love my 105mm Nikon ais.

@@PavSZ i have Z6, am nikon shooter with this i think my eleventh body... Over 25 years, from film times. This camera returned fun in photography for me...as im 49 i dont fancy huge heavy gear anymore :) my back after all this years wish maksimum various gear with minimum weight. As I love drone shots also. You explain in short, simple deacent manors, very clear, straight to the point, understandable without complicating, and visual in good lightened video. I like.

I have a Z5 and don't use it for video at all. I also have a gorgeous little 35 f2 summicron that i love but this would take it to another level. This mirrorless platform has been a dream come true for me. I just got a couple of clip filters too, how cool are those?

unfortunately not this one! There is another company making a version of this for Sony cameras. Leica-M to Sony-E and then like I did in my video, convert FD lenses to Leica-M with another adapter.

How does it feel with big and heavy lenses? Do you think it will hold them well with a 85mm f1.8 or a tele 70-200mm or you should hold the lens with your left hand?

feels solid but I'd definitely support heavier lenses. Is there 85mm f1.8 vintage lens? What is it?

How do you set up a 105mm or 55mm to the adapter? I don't see the values in the manual. This might be a dumb question.

yes, with m42 to Leica-M adapter on top of it (that's how all the samples in my video were shot)

does the second adapter have to be an autofocus adapter as well or can it be a generic manual focus adapter? Cause it looks like the MTZ is doing all the work and not turning the adapted lens or second adapter at all.

second adapter is just a standard non autofocusing adapter from one mount to another. MTZ does not turn, it moves the lens away and towards the sensor to focus

this is Leica-M to Nikon Z adapter - you need m42 to Leica M to be able to attach Helios lens to it

this is Leica-M to Nikon Z adapter .... you need to adapt your lens to Leica-M to make it work

This is Leica M mount on one size and Nikon Z on the camera size. You can adapt any vintage mount to Leica M and then use with it. This is not for Nikon F to Z adapter
