How to make wireless IR Remote Control ON OFF Switch using 4017 IC & Relay | 4017 circuits projects

3 жыл бұрынIn this 4017 project, I have shown how to make wireless IR Remote Control ON OFF Switch using 4017 IC & Relay. You can also use the push button to control the AC load manually. So you can make IR controlled power outlet with the manual switch.
During the tutorial video, I have shared the complete 4017 ic project circuit diagram, so after watching the video, you can easily make this simple IR switch for home appliances.

Required components for the infrared remote switch
1. 100uF DC capacitors 2no
2. 0.1 uF Capacitor
3. 220-ohm resistors 3 no
4. 10k resistor
5. 270k resistor
6. BC557 PNP Transistor
7. BC547 NPN Transistor
8. CD4017 IC
9. TSOP 1738 IR Receiver
10. 1N4007 Diode
11. 5-volt SPDT Relay
12. Push Button
13. 5 volt DC source.
If you use any PWM or SMPS power supply, then use a 1000uF 25V DC capacitor across the input terminals. Here I have used an LM317 power supply.
After watching the video, you can easily design this ir remote switch circuit for your home.

I spent so much time in Radio Shack here in Elyria Ohio,that when I walked in and a newbie asked if I needed help,the old hats said,"Thats mr. xxx. He probably has 3 of everything in here.When we need help,we ask HIM.",LOL. But,Radio Shack here stopped carrying components,and now you have to get them off the net. Such BS. It hurt us do it yourselfer hobbiests. I figured it would take a flip flop to do this,but its been so many years that I thought Id look for help now. Thanks for a fantastic project. Best regards, but 4017 is a decade counter, 7400 series must perform all functions of 4017. Hard work to get good result, inglorious. Hugs änd Tks.

hi there fascinating vid thank you, is there any chance you know a way to use a bog standard RF 2ch relay board 12v to control an actuator but also with an added DPDT momentary switch to also control it manually, I need to be able to move my driver's seat from driving position to the back of the car (disabled driver) it is on runners and the actuator simply pushes the seat back into the rear of the car so I can transfer from wheelchair to driver's seat and vis versa I am currently using a DPDT switch that works fine but when a carer or friend has been driving they forget to move the seat back ready for me leaving me stuck. I am not very savvy about electronics but have basic electrical training hence ready-made hardware I have tried to use diodes and had no luck I tried to just add the actuator output leads from the DPDT to the output leads of the relay but then nothing works, I just do not get how I can add a manual switch. any help would be very much appreciated.

One solution could solve this need. Just cut all push buttons of control remote, but one ou want. Be healthy and happy, hugs.

No, previously I have used LM317 DC supply which provides constant DC voltage. But if you 5V mobile charger then use the capacitor.

Never use Acrylic sheet. Do you need special tool to cut to match the printed paper? Can it be cut with normal scissor?

You can try, the output pin should become low when it detects any ir signal.
