is it not easier to use a tapered square wedge with 2 tapered square cuts rather than a square wedge with 2 triangular cut parts? which one is easier?

I supposed that a square wedge with 2 triangular cut parts was an easier way.

is there an easier way to cut the mortises? here you are cutting into end grain which takes ages to finish and it's hard to get good result. I have tried using long 3/16 inch drill bit but the drill bit sometimes runs off and the result is less than satisfactory. do you have any suggestion thank you. also is there an specific angle at which the chair legs go in to the horse shoe hand rail?

Hi guy,we have a specific machine to make the mortise. As for the second question, I recommend a book to you--”Chinese domestic furniture in photographs and measured drawings ” written by Gustav Ecke.

@@yoyadesigns I have noticed that book by one of the youtubers but that is quite an old book by a German i believe I am making my chair with an angle of 23 or 24 but I think it might be wrong and it could be 27 would be a better angle I think but it's too late for my chair because i have already done the seat and the angle that is coming out would be between 23 and 24. I am almost finished with horse shoe handle. thank you
