To get your napkins apart: use a small piece of scotch tape, apply to the front piece leaving a little tail you can grab, apply another piece to the back piece with a little tail you can grab, grab your tails and gently pull apart. Works great

1) Craft resin heat gun to remove air bubbles from all resin types! 2) Use UV clear gloss resin hard and UV resin torch to coat them ~ it’s no mixing involved and dries quicker!

Don’t throw the felt pads away - you can reactivate the colours with isopropyl alcohol 91% or 99%. I hope you’re in a well-ventilated area (better to use a ventilator) as the fumes from the alcohol inks are toxic. 🥰

@@mtngal3 yes, and you can clean up either with Isopropyl alcohol or hand gel (cheaper and not as smelly). Try not to get the alcohol ink or iso on your skin as it is toxic and the least you come into direct contact with it the better. I’ve never seen these inks used on wood before 👍as they are normally used on non-porous surfaces such as Yupo or Nara paper (really both plastic), the BACK of decent photo paper that’s not stamped, or tile which can be cleaned over and over. Some people use them directly in resin but I think it’s a different type of ink (?). There are various methods of moving the inks too once on these surfaces, more or less complicated. People also decorate glass & mugs. A sealant is normally used to protect the finished work - this should be water-based as if it is alcohol-based it will reactivate the colours.🥰

Bummer, I don't have a heat press. Did you put resin on the one ones you used the napkins on? How did they end up looking? To cut down on time, have the paper already cut. Don't do so many of each kind. Maybe, just one of each.

If you put a piece of tape on the back of the napkin and pull the white paper will come off.

Did you put mod podge on the wood before applying the napkin? Or, does the heat alone create a bond between the wood and napkin? I didn’t see any mod podge used at all.

I put mod podge on the wood earring piece and let it dry and then put the napkin or paper on the wood and used the heat press on it. Hope that makes sense.
