@Yerk I think I figured out how to avoid the push changes "disallowed object type" message AND how to permanently keep the door open without extending the track or adding key frames. I created another new project (only actors added were: closed vault door, player spawner, cinematic device and for testing a simple trigger to open door). After adding actors I created the opening sequence, but before you add key frames or tracks or anything, add the sequence to the cinematic device. So, immediately after right clicking in your content area of project and creating "cinematics--->level sequence" add the level sequence to your cinematic device and push the changes (no error) and then you are good to go. Then go back and add the door open transform and key frames and all that Yerk showed, then push those changes. To keep the door open all the time: Right click on 'Transform" in the Sequencer. Go to "Edit Section", Open the "Section" tab if closed and change "When Finished" to "Keep State" . Door will stay open! Thanks Yerk for this awesome Video! I think the "disallowed" message is a bug. It should make no difference what order you do this in. Yerk, when testing/creating this sequence, you probably added the sequence to the cinematic device sooner rather than later and that is probably why you were not getting the error.

@@YerkYT Glad I could help. I just added it back into my island I am creating and this works so cool! Another thing I figured out is that if you drag the audio track more to the left, you can get the audio to start before the door starts to move and then line it up with animation when you hear the big click (locks fully disengaged??) The anticipation of waiting for the door to open....lol

@@rolphy053 There is a bug with how you insert and the order you do things in the project. Start a new project add the vault and the cinematic seq device. Then create the level sequence, what Yerk did at 2:25 of the video (Name:MyVaultOpeningSequence). But BEFORE you add the mesh and key frames (what he did at 3:00 of the video, opened the level seq device, MyVaultOpeningSequence) you need to add the level sequence to the the cinematic device. So, do what he did at 6:58 of the video, drag the level sequence onto the cinematic device. You need to do this first. Then push the changes, you should get no errors. Then go back and add the mesh, key frames and audio to the level sequence.

Hey, Yerk I need help with the Tracker device. I set up a challenge saying Eliminate GHOST Henchmen, and it counts for all guards I just need the challenge to work only on the Ghost Guards

Yerk, this is so advanced! I remember the vault opening for Creative 1.0, and it is so archaic in contrast this. Wow! Impressive! UEFN is insane! As a creator, did you have early access to UEFN? Any word on when this might be available for console - if at all? I've been creating a lot of these effects in post production. Nice video! Stay up!

I was part of the alpha - but with that said, we had so many projects going on at Oni during the alpha we didn’t really get a lot of time to dive in like other alpha participants did and this was all made post 2.0 release! No idea on when console will get these tools but if you work with someone on a pc you can take advantage of a lot of these tools even on console!

Ye if u want to use a keycard then just swap the key item for the keycard in the item spawner and conditional button

Hey! Whenever I try to replicate this, I got a validation error that says "Found disallowed object type /Game/Environments/Apollo/Sets/Vaults/Meshes/Vaults_Door.Vaults_Door". Is anyone else getting this problem? And how can I solve this?

Try placing down the vault again in the island and make sure you have the mesh set to movable not static, if that doesn’t work let me know!

I've tried every single idea in this thread to fix the error when trying to push changes. Nothing worked for me - so I used the art deco bank door with the empty door frame and the lone vault door that goes with it. You use the same method yerk uses but bc the lone vault door is just one object you can create the transform track directly on the vault door actor in the sequencer. It's not the same, it opens outwards, not inwards. But hey, a vault's a vault. Good luck creators and have fun getting lost in uefn. If this helped you and you know how to achieve a FOV slider for ppl to manipulate in your map - pls help lol

@@YT-Davidegamer10Shorts it's been a little while since I tried messing around with making vaults. The tweaked method I used on my own, to make it work, worked for me until something happened to the map I was working on where I had to start over with my vault. I used my exact same method that worked for me the first time, and then ran into the error again. I gave up lol. 2.0 can be terribly buggy, hopefully they've fixed some things having to do with that but your comments gives me little faith in that. Edit: the best result I got working on that vault, getting the changes to push, was the vault immediately going to its originally closed position after the sequence. No matter what I did I couldn't get the vault to stay open, as I had it functioning the first time I made my vault.

@qlone8888 oh well, ive tried everything so far. The art deco door is apparently an illegal object. As soon as im done with the animation and push changes, the project fails. No matter what i try. It just doesn't accept the art deco vault door as a normal piece. Thanks again tho and have a good one

@@YT-Davidegamer10Shorts if you can get it to do what mine does - runs the sequence but then the door goes back to the original position, after. Maybe you could try reversing that? Like have the door starting in the open position so that when the sequence is over, it goes back to open, allowing players to get inside. If you can get that to work for you, you could keep the vault out of sight and put a barrier or another door with a conditional button in front of it. That way, players can't see it's already open and when they use the keycard on the conditional button, the barrier goes down and they see the opening sequence and wouldn't know the vault was open to begin with. Hopefully the way I tried to explain this isn't too confusing. If you drop your username I can add you and try to help, but no pressure on that.

Issues i think it could be: the door itself the art gallery vault worked for me. The audio could also be a factor. Try doing it without. I just used the art vaults instead and the door thats only the door and animated it the same way as the tutorial. Worked for me

You need to turn off the restore state setting in the details panel, and make sure loop sequence isn’t on

are you clicking on the staticmeshcomponent in the details panel? Im honestly not sure why thats happening so im just guessing at ways to fix but i want to help you figure it out. Let me know where in the video you are at that you get that code and ill try to figure out whats going wrong for you

@@YerkYT thanks for answers So i finish all the steps with the normal vault first and it was working, then when i try to load session i get that error After that i try with the fortilla vault door , re-do all the steps right and i still get the error I put the transform into the vault door mesh, i add the 2 keyframes and i even try with the open vault prop but still the same , for some reason it doesnt allow me to interact or transform the vault door mesh

@@AlexSilverwolf13 okay so i think i found the issue, but not entirely sure how to explain to fix it. You need to create a blueprint with the vault door static mesh and set it to be a blueprint of the class : creative device prop then save that blueprint and drag that into your project and repeat the steps in video.
