yeah nah the output option is gone but even when I use the new options correctly it doesn't transfer audio into apps like discord, only the actual voicemeetre program itself (when you press A1 on the left to test your mic)

bro thank you. I have a expensive ass mic its the shure sm7b and it always sounded nice but in my obs it sounded way better for streams and recording because I was able to add plugins and make my mic sound way way better. but that was only for obs so in game and discord would not hear the effects. but with this I can use it in discord and in game and I saw a video where you can use plugins in this so that would be better. and for everyone watching I highly recommend using plugins the default stuff he used in the video is not good. You need a proper Eq and YOU NEED A COMPRESSOR. then I like to add a deessor and limiter.

the voicemetre output option for recording is replaced with a bunch of inputs and when I choose the correct input (voicemeetre in 1) it just doesn't play the mic audio to anywhere other than the program itself (when you clicked A1 on the left side to test the microphone)

@@bueno3165 I'm honestly not too sure I did random stuff and eventually it sort of worked, but the main thing I did was realized the "voicemeetre output" has turned into "voicemeetre out B1" for whatever reason, my microphone quality still isn't just as good as it sounds in the program but that fixed it somewhat

@@Sevencommunity the version of voicemeeter that he's showing is old, so it's a little bit different. at about two minutes into the video he goes to the "more audio settings" tab and it lists all the audio devices and service components for both playback (the audio you hear) and recording (the audio others hear). as I said before the version of voicemeeter that he's showing us in the video is a little old, so the current one is different. if you follow his steps and get to the tab where it shows all the audio settings for playback and recording, you'll notice that it's a little different. instead of the typical two voicemeeter options for both playback and recording (the regular option, and then the aux option) there are many more options now. I'm not entirely sure what most of them do, but for the playback settings just click on the option that says "Voicemeeter Input" and set it to default using the same method he did in the video. for the recording settings, find the option that says "Voicemeeter Out B1", which is basically a new name for the "Voicemeeter Input" for the recording options tab that you see in the video. That mostly worked for me, although it doesn't sound as good as it does in the voicemeeter program when I am testing my voice there. He does this at around 2:56 for reference. Also, the way that I make the quality a little bit better is by using task manager. it's sort of complicated but there's a video by a youtuber named "Kamikaze Dan" that is named "How to fix Voicemeeter microphone crackling in Discord". he explains it pretty well, and that helped to make the quality sound even better for me.
