Wassup fam, it’s funny you ask that because a few years ago I was gonna get a first gen before there was any talk of a new generation that was suppose to come out. I’ve always had a soft spot for the first gen, I feel it looks a lot more like an actual race car when done up correctly. I haven’t seen to much yet for the new gen 2s, so as of right now fits gen probably take, but I’ll always love my 86 more than any other 🤷‍♂️😅. Thanks for watching homie 🤝💙

Wassup fam, yeah these cars come N/A and throwing a Catback on it doesn’t require a tune. I have Catless headers on the car now which normally requires a tune, but I have a defouler installed on the headers so it doesn’t throw a check engine light. Hope this could help, thanks for watching 🤝💙

Wassup homie, so the wheel size is 18x9.5+38 and the tires are 245/35/18. You are gonna need coilover’s to run these specs, I went with BC (BR SERIES) Coilover’s. They have been great and haven’t had a single issues with any of them. I would highly recommend going with this setup, it feels great. Thanks for watching the video homie 👏💙

Wassup fam, honestly it probably won’t be as crazy as how mine sounds without having a clutch, but it should be able to still burble and stuff, if your going for loud pops and backfires then you’ll most likely need a tune for your car. I honestly am not to sure, I know with more of an aftermarket exhaust than just a Catback will allow these things to pop and backfire even being an automatic. Or if you are really trying to get those backfire and burbles you could always throw a tune on the car. I know a few companies have made ECUTEK kits for it, i for sure will be getting a tune once I put headers on my car. Thanks for watching the video fam 🤝💙

@@Justinackerman_ what kind of exhaust are you running cause right now im using a hks catback spec L for mine and i love it but maybe later on im planning on changing it because im looking for something a little bit louder with not as much drone but i also want the backfires

@@cloudd012 currently the car has an AWE Track Catback for an exhaust. For being just a Catback it certainly is damn loud 😅 and I loud every bit of it. Planning to put catless UEL headers on the car some day soon. So I guess you can say I like my cars pretty loud 😂 Although if it’s like way to obnoxious when i do that, the good thing about the AWE is that you can switch the axelback out from no mufflers that I currently have, to a 2 muffler setup if I wanted too. Hope this info could help in any way 🤝

Yeah, having a good quality exhaust certainly does help in this case, although I have seen a few other cars pop and burble just from a muffler delete as well. I think the car and the exhaust setup plays a huge factor in wether or not your car can do it.

@@Justinackerman_ i have a $200 muffler delete on my gr86 and it pops on rev matched down shifts. i noticed it popped occasionally with the stock muffler like u had mentioned so i figured id try the delete and see if i got more pops. and i sure did . i get tons of compliments on how it sounds. besides the drone, its great. im happy i didnt have to spend $1-2k for a catback for a decent sound on this car.

I’ve heard a few people with an auto still able to get pops and burbles, but it required more than just a Catback exhaust to do it. Besides for it not backfiring I’m sure you love you 86 just as much as I do. They are really great cars, can’t wait for more aftermarket support to be released soon for them. @@Justinackerman_ I can get some pops on upshifts w just my catback (HKS single exit) but other than that it's probably gonna take some headers and fp/op possibly to get more sounds. I do love this car and can't wait for what the future holds for the platform

@naps777 that’s dope dawg, and that’s the same route that I eventually plan to take with this car as well. Although when I put UEL headers on the car I feel that I might need to switch from the AWE Track and go to their touring edition instead so it’s not to obnoxious. Exhaust is by far one of my favorite “mods” that your could do to your car.

I would think it should be able to do this… it might just take a modified exhaust whether that’s a Catback or even crazier like a overpipe or Downpipe. I was able to get my 86 to backfire a bunch without a tune. Thanks for watching the video fam 👏💙

I’ve loved them ever since, and was blessed to finally be able to own my very own 86.
