My 8y/o feral rescue came to me as a frightened kitten and even though she can be very close to me and affectionate at times, she still shies from me no matter how gently I approach her. I suppose she has a severe case of kitty PTSD and may never fully recover 😿

@@AK_804 if I approach her she will often times bolt. Other times she is calm and enjoys being pet. Poor girl must have been mistreated or something when very small. I got her at about ten weeks old and she was terrified of all people. I’m glad she likes to sleep next to me at least. 🥰

Makes my heart break thinking of what little rescue cats may have gone through before we adopt them. My kitty would flinch very easily at all kinds of non aggressive movements. Thankfully, she's calmed down a lot. Only problem is, living in a home with my 89 year old mother, who has terrible hearing, there's a lot more shouting than I'd like - my mum's Italian, so she was always loud, but now everyone else has to be too!🤦‍♀️

3:50 OMG, my little Maggie used to LOVE chasing empty pistachio shells across the hardwood floor. Not so much on carpet, but she'd still give it a try. Lots of half shells under the sofa when we moved!

My one cat swishes her tail when she's happy. So it's really dependent on the cat. But mostly cats don't wag their tails when they're happy.

My cat who i adopted 5 years ago wags her tail when she sees me. But my feral kitty that a got about 8 months ago when she was 9 months old, has never let me touch or pet her. Ever. She eats from my hand and approaches me to play, but never have i touched her. I am hoping someday she will.
