Nice build, Mike! Glad to see the hose wire connected to ground. Not the 1st time Ive heard of static discharge impacting the CNC. The whole setup is very nice!

Mike - I am in the market for a new table saw. There are many in the price range of your Harvey Alpha. Why did you select that one? I have not seen it mentioned in any other videos. The unboxing looked pretty tough! Thank you.

Isn't the metal wire you hooked to the screw incased in rubber , which means it's insulated and doesn't conduct electricity anyway ?

Yes, it is encased in the hose but it does still help to discharge the static build up to ground. When I mentioned that "funny things happen" I had a discharge happen with a previous dust collector when I walked past it and the CNC just froze. I had a tech in the shop at the time from ShopBot and he saw that the DC hose wasn't grounded and mentioned that it may not seem like it would make a difference, but since it makes a shorter path to ground, in the event of a discharge it will go to the DC rather than the CNC. Hope that makes sense and thanks for watching!

I want to build something similar but I am concerned about it being top heavy and maybe tipping over. How stable is this?

I've not had any worries about it tipping. Maybe if you're pushing it up a mountain side, but rolling out around the shop it's been very stable👍
