Normal game design KZfaqrs just show other games as examples, but you went that extra mile and it made anything so much better and more helpful

really helpful video, cud u tell me how u did the knockback effect?
@timberdev2 жыл бұрын
First of all, thank you! I did the knockback by adding a velocity to the character and then animating the scale with unity's animation system.
@johnconnors68402 жыл бұрын
@@timberdev do u have the code for this, it wud be really helpful. also when is a new video coming out
@user-ze8ey3rq4p2 жыл бұрын
hey mate could u tell me how u implemented the squash and stretch effect in unity 2D
@timberdev2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I made the squash and stretch using animations in unity. So I simply scaled the game object and played the animation whenever the character gets hit.
@user-ze8ey3rq4p2 жыл бұрын
@@timberdev mmm ic I tried Implementing the same thing but it didn't work l, do u happen to have the source code for this Coz I wud also like to implement the knock back effect similar to wat u did. Thank u and really appreciate for replying
@pliniomourao2 жыл бұрын
@@user-ze8ey3rq4p I believe his animation does the squash and strech. therefore, all he need to do is to set the animation to not loop, adjust the speed of the animation (depending on how many frames did your animation takes) and call the Animator to play that specific animation. Example: animation.Play("SquashAnimation"); That's all.

Why are so many game developers European. I have just noticed that. edit: not to be racist or anything
3 жыл бұрын
I doubt we take offense when you're telling us we're awesome ;) I'm from Sweden and here we have lots of opportunities in school to pick up programming. We also have a lot of positive role models showing that anything is possible, like Notch. There are also lots of high profile game dev companies like Massive, Dice, King etc that pay well and are great places to work. I think the same to some degree apply to many other European contries like Poland, France etc.
