Don't go under 65% when you're done making the DIY hand-sanitizer. That means, 65% *AFTER* the hand-sanitizer formula has been mixed up. _Not before._ Adding in all the other ingredients means you've diluted the alcohol. That's why it's important to use 99% or 91% Isopropyl alcohol at the start. Following the recipe mentioned below, endorsed by the WHO, the 99% turns into 75% when you're done. The 91% turns into 67%, when done. Starting off with more common 70% will get a final, diluted mixture of hand-sanitizer of only 51% alcohol in it. Far too low to actually be effective. You can substitute ethyl alcohol for Isopropyl alcohol. But it has to be at least 180 Proof before being diluted in the hand-sanitizer mixture. Vodka is not strong enough. Grain alcohol, such as Everclear at 190 Proof, will work. 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) of alcohol 1 Tablespoon Hydrogen Peroxide 3% 1 Teaspoon of pure glycerin liquid * Add purified or boiled water that is room temp. to get the mixture up to 1 1/3 cup. **Add the fragrance before adding the water Please stay safe, everyone.

I hope people pay attention to these details you point out. There is a lot more to this than simply adding stink pretty to the sanitizer. Diluting the potency of the alcohol content makes the sanitizer ineffective. He is missing the science behind what actually makes hand sanitizer an affective defence. I understand the spirit behind the video but misinformation is not a public service. Ratios are key in making sure your product works as it needs to. The only reason I am replying is that I was looking for a good resource for making sure I didn't make a mistake with my home brew sanitizer and this was the first video I came across. This is not good information Titan Fragrances. Please review and revise.

@@jimmccomb3982 I actually looked through a surprising number of vids. on KZfaq to find the most useful information. Encountered a great deal of misinformation, badly explained mixtures and concepts, and vids. where the person clearly knew what they were talking about but their execution was so poor on video as to be unusable. But, I did manage to find 7 worth viewing. How to make masks. Sewn, improvised from a bandana, and improvised from a T-shirt. Two vids. on making effective anti-bacterial cleaning wipes. And two on hand-sanitizer. All the content creators want their vids. to circulate. So, I put them in a video on my channel called "CV-19 Directory." Also, since making my initial comment a month ago, found a 2nd effective hand-sanitizer mixture. Again, the same level of alcohol purity to start with. Mix 2 parts of that with 1 part liquid Aloe Vera. Done. With this mixture, you can create as much or as little hand-sanitizer as you want. Two ounces of alcohol added to one ounce of Aloe Vera. Or, two cups of alcohol to one cup of Aloe Vera. The rate of dilution of the alcohol will be the same as the other mixture. So far, those are the only two mixtures I've found for making truly effective hand-sanitizer.

Man this is brilliant. I wanted to make my own hand sanitizer but the alo Vera gel is always out. I didn’t even think about the juice. I see this bucket all the time in Walmart. No one touches that. Thanks for the suggestion and keep up the good work.

I make my own Bleu de Chanel hand sanitizer by doing a couple of sprays of Bleu de Chanel EDT in a bottle of unscented hand sanitizer 😉👌

Very informative bro, was wondering if you can do future vids on more experiments like some Indie companies are doing by blending two popular fragrances into one or a layering experiment like Max Forti nu blends series.

TITAN, I heard you can use perfume alcohol, that is Ethyl alcohol as a hand sanitizer as well. True?

Yes as long as the concentration of alcohol stays above 60% why I would recommend alcohol concentration of 70-90% mixed with aloe gel or aloe juice so after I mix it the concentration % will be above 60%

OK, thank you. I find it NOW much easier to get 200 proof perfume alcohol than isopropyl, and cheaper too! Im mixing it 1/4 C aloe, and 3/4 C alcohol.

I'm deaf and found the CC instructions very confusing. Can you just give me the ratio of Aloe/Alcohol/ and perfume, please?

I'm sorry if I was unclear. The higher concentration of alcohol is best but 70% alcohol should be fine. 1.5 oz of alcohol to .5 oz of aloe juice. ( 3 parts alcohol to 1 part aloe juice) and for smell I would recommend any Fragrance u like and preferably an edt or EDC concentrate of Fragrance as they have more alcohol and u don't really want hand sanitizer to be over powering your scent of the day normally. 🤗 Hopefully that helps 👍
