Folks, here is a Crappie Fishing Secret! Crappie have weak mouths and the traditional weedless jig heads are very stiff. In fact, the same guard on Weedless crappie jigs are on weedless bass jigs! This can cause you to loose a lot of fish! In this video, I show you how I create a weedless jig head perfect for crappie! As all things on this channel, I express only my opinions on fishing. I hope you enjoy the video! God bless

After listening to my bf tell me he’s watched all your videos and talking nonstop about making these brushguard jigs, I thought I would watch the video too so I could help him. Spent 2 hours in the garage, glass of whiskey, floss, jigs, crazy glue and chubby tails - we made 30+ jigs. Thanks for giving us a fun night of making jigs, drinking whiskey and chatting the whole time!!!

I've been fishing about 43 years now. And it's my passion in life. And I've watched maybe 12 of your videos so far. I've learned so many tips and helpful information from you already in 12 videos than I've learned on my own in the past 30 years. The dental floss superglue crappie jig tip is one of the best things I've used ever in crappie fishing. I bet I only go through a tenth of the number of jig bodies that I used to go through. Thank you very much for sharing your fishing techniques. It's been a really great learning experience for me. I thought at 50 years old that I knew it all for the way I fish. But its great to learn new techniques that really help. Keep up the great information and videos sir.

I'm built like you brotha. For some reason I've been at the river all my life , and will be the rest of it. I live up here in Michigan. A whole different ballgame weather wise when it comes to the when and where of things. But I've used your advice so many times while I'm crappie fishing and regardless of seasonal difference your knowledge on what depth to fish at, is priceless man. Everyday last summer before I went to a new spot , I'd watch a random video of yours and take the best tactic you used to heart. Somehow implement it into what I do when nothing else is working. Casting and reeling a jig with bobber I constantly gotta tell myself to let it fall, 5 inches at a time, how much is each rotation of my reel taking in line? Thanks for all you do because fishing ain't a hobby for me. It's more like a lifeline and that's the truth. I've caught more walleye than you could shake a stick at, and yellow perch pike gills salmon trout you name it. Crappie is the most worthy adversary in my opinion . Alot goes into it from the last years experiences. Takes a long time to accumulate a good outline for crappie fishing any spot anytime. Thank you for sharing all the tips most fisherman keep under there hats.i don't wanna go the grace without teaching what I know to my kids and i have a hard time just showing them lol. Glad you showed up one day when I searched for some good methods because I found a great fisherman !!

Nice tip RG! One suggestion I'd make is to nip a little notch in the jig body to hold the mono in the proper position before gluing the body a put a drop of th gel superglue in the notch after the body is in place to hold the mono in alignment with the hook point. Might even use two mono pieces and split the hook point.
