place the bezel before you install the bezel insert, I have seen multiple people break the newly aquired ceramic insert using this method. also, the alignment of the bezel with the chapter ring is a lot easier to achieve.

I would personally buy a second stock bezel just for mods, this way I could keep the original one too and easily change with two moves whenever I want

Would you tell us the exact size of the bezel insert on an SKX009? There are some luminous inserts sold on the Internet. Do you recommend those aluminium bezel inserts for the SKX? Thank you for the video and your answer as well.

Is this process the same for the Seiko Samurai?

I would recommend removing the adhesive and applying a new adhesive when you change the insert. You can use heat to remove the adhesive.

So if I ever need to re-apply the glue, what type of glue is used since the bezel insert is changeable at any given time? Also, if I was to modify other Seiko watches with a bezel, do I remove and pop it in the same way? How about older Seikos?

The pip on mine snapped off. 50$ down the drain. Just wanted to sharr that you can use nail polish to fill in missing lume paint on the pip

You should snap on the bezel 1st, & lastly glue on the insert. You where lucky that the pip & markings on the insert lined up with the markers on the chapter ring. You could have been off a bit & it would have not lined up. Your method is poor.

I would love to pick up a bezel, but the one I want says it needs the sapphire glass.....way not sure about changing the crystal as well....

Problem is that Seiko nailed the looks from the get go. There are practically no aftermarket parts that look as good as original. Bezel inserts, for example; the pip should be recessed like the original and not an add on like on Submariner. Now if someone made an exact replika of the original insert in ceramic I'd buy it. But after trying a few different ones out I have always come back to the original.

This is a nice bezel I did see another lumed bezel done which looked good I've got one of these which I scratched within 24 hrs of wear my own fault, the hardlex can scratch easily on these watches polished it out 80 per cent with a dremmel and diamond paste , unable to hack skx 009 which is a shame , moral of the story is take off watch when using a chainsaw! how do you make sure that the pip is correctly aligned with the 12 hour marker?

How did you make sure the zero marker lined up with inner markings when gluing the insert back on?

The only 3 things I’m not a fan about the SKX is the stock bezel insert, the no hacking and the weight of it. Because it’s a bit heavy I find it uncomfortable on NATO straps which is disappointing because I like the look of NATO straps but I’m still looking for a NATO that’s comfortable to wear on the SKX.

I know looks are a personal thing but for me,the Pepsi look was the main reason I bought the watch.Green Bezel = spoilt watch.

To me it makes more sense to buy a strapcode bracelet for $50, jist makes the watch seem like its over twice its actual price

Why can't you just by a whole new bezel with an insert on you can click on, so you don't have to remove the old insert and do all the work with new glue and so on.

The jubilee strap is not horrible it's actually the best that's the reason Seiko pick that as a choice for it's official metal strap. I think green bezel is horrible compared to the original Pepsi color bezel. Leather strap's smell horrible & equally horrible to wear & takeoff.

Just buy a half decent watch . So you.v bought the watch £200 ish , 30 + for a bezel insert then you want a submariner bezel another 30+ then a double dome saphire chrystal , after all why have a bezel insert you cant scratch but a chrystal you can eh ! So 50 + your into £350 because now your looking at straps , NOT only have you rendered a waterproof watch useless for splashing around with you,v wasted money doing it ! Buy a domed watch thats 300m waterproof and swiss made for the same money with all the parts you replaced as standard , AND its still covered by a manufacturers guarantee ,, instead of turning a functional dive watch into a mickey mouse watch
