Great video! I went looking for an image in Cricut Design Space and when I couldn't find it I was determined to make my own SVG file and not pay for it. I assumed this process would apply to any image and I was right. Thanks Melody for taking the time to make all of your videos. I am a newbie to Cricut and your videos have save me countless hours of frustration in learning how to make some amazing projects.

Oh this will be so helpful! I’m converting a tracing of a boat emblem to cut it from vinyl. One question...when you’re deleting the nodes are you simply clicking on them? Thank you!

KraZiLocaLOL no, you can’t really do that, it would have to be a special writing font set to do that.

That is way too complicated for some of us oldies. I don't want to have to use other apps or programs p. I just want design space. That's enough for me. Thanks for the video. You explain very well for the peeps that want to use the different programs.

Wow great video. This is the second one and I will be watching more of your tips. I was wondering if you have a video of how to sign your name instead of cutting it out? I have been trying to figure it out but it only works for handwriting preloaded into cricut design space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for this and the splice video.

@@melodylane could you used the pen option instead of cut? I'm looking to have a single stroke option with the pen instead of cutting out. My lazy way of signing thank you cards and holiday cards haha thank you

Can you change the color once it is in the design space? If i want to print? Try to print in white so it appears on a dark t shirt...

Hi Tiffany, Yes you can. When you are clicked on the image on the top where it says operation and basic cut, you can click pen and it will draw it for you.

It may only be me, BUT ... when you say “click on THIS”, or “Design Space will only cut THIS” I stop watching because if I’m trying to learn, I have no idea what THIS is. You lost me within 2 minutes.
