Personally, I wouldn’t. I love the sound, I took a ride in a Hellcat and I love the sound. Simple acceleration like merging or getting up to speed on a large road sounded awesome.

The only filtration it has is from the cone filter but I’d be happy with it.

@@lewishill64 The tube they installed in the intake bypasses the filter. The engine is now breathing unfiltered air from the floorboard of the cabin.

No I think it is sealed by a clear plastic. But the sound is what is coming to the cabin.

The system uses a diaphragm cap that seals the sound tube so no unmetered or filtered air enters the induction path.

For all of you saying "he pulls unfiltered air from the cabin", no he doesn't. the "plug" that goes through the firewall has a clear diaphragm on it so the end is sealed. Could imagine that the diagpragm also helps making the sound louder.

This is how it works, it's a sealed system that allows rotor pulses through the diaphragm caps clear membrane, but no unfiltered or unmetered air enters the inlet.

By the way. The Tube's end in the cabin is sealed by a marine grade something so it will not suck air to the intake. It is just letting the sound pass through

It sounds very cool now. Brian is a lucky guy most autoshops won't let you go in when the shop is closed and work other people cars. The shop i worked at we barely work on our own car without it being a hassel much less friends cars.

I was just thinking that. Its after the air filter and the best solution would be to put a tiny air filter on the cabin side to protect it. Wont hurt the sound at all either.

Everyone bitching about this drives a Camry. You do this because supercharger whine is awesome. It only gets loud when you get into boost. I guess none of you have ever heard a ported Eaton or Kenne Bell supercharger on a Terminator. This is quite compared to those cars.

Michael I have a 2016 xlt fx4 5.0 L. Just did two mods that kick Butt. A Raptor steering wheel with functioning paddles. And the gauge cluster out of a Larriat and above. Guy on 150 fourm programs the cluster for you with your buid data and correct milage. Then ships to you in two days. Then its plug and play takes minutes to install. Even you can do it Ha Ha.would love to send you pics of mine installed. You need to check it out makes driving the xlt so much better. You know. Will feel like your driving wifey truck.

You would need a big bottle of Aleve to take a road trip in this truck. Also isn’t that mod pulling unfiltered cabin air into the engine. Also surprised the transmission hasn’t broken considering the power the engine is putting out is beyond the specifications for the 6R80.

Daniel Stewart It's one of the white sticks sitting by the road that weirdly shows above the side mirror for a brief moment, almost looking like a flipped bird. The side window is fully closed at all times too.

That's correct off boost only slight indiction sounds, whine is developed under full load higher rpm's and under boost of course. Slight whistle can be heard off boost.

I guess you didn’t realize you could’ve clicked the seatbelt through the whole and pull the seat belt bucket through the seat and make it much easier.
