I am not a wig professional. This is just what I do to help my wigs fit better for me. I have had many questions about this subject, so I wanted to put a video out for everyone to see. There are other ways to make a wig smaller but I hope this helps some of you out there.
If you would, please hit the like button and subscribe to my channel, that helps the channel grow and teach more people. I do not make any money off of this channel, just want to help as many wig sisters as I can.
Peace and Love

Thanks so much for the tutorial. I just had Rachel Welch's Ahead of the Curve that was too large on my petite head. I have cut wefts out before but over cut. This is a great alternative that is fixable if you mess up.

Awesome! So glad this helps. Plus if you ever want to give it away or sell it, you can take the stitch out and it is back to the normal.

How freakin COOL!!!! I’ve seen them use elastic thread! Yes, who knew!? I had no idea there was elastic thread. Oh and I hated my Joss!! That was the most hideous thing ever on me!! 😂❤

Love this, Charmaine💚 I was about to suggest the method, cutting of the weft but your right its way more work and your way is quick, easy, better. My mom is a master seamstress and uses a thimble and does everything old school. I was taught to sew and miss it. Both wigs look great on you!! One standard cap and one with the bells and whistles. Joss is adorable in Marble Brown-R but love the Bernstein-R,.too 🤩

Awe thank you so much. I think it is easier for me. What I really like is that I can take the stitch out if I want to give it to someone else. Thank you so much for your kind words. My mother could see anything just by looking at it. She was amazing

Thanks, I’ll try this with the nape of my new wig. I have a very short neck and the wig has the extended nape. Drives me nuts.

Oh yes, always a way. OMG great things about this technique is, you can always take out a stitch. If you cut something out, it is harder to replace. Good luck and thanks for watching💜

You can wet the cap with water, put it on a mannequin head that has the same size as your circumference, then let it dry. That can stretch it out for you

Thank you. How would you see a wig to make it smaller in the back crown area? I have a Jon Renau Alluer that is too loose.

Just like I did with this one. I have several that are big on the crown area that I have done this same method for and turned out perfect for me. I would try that first before ever cutting out wefts. Thank you for watching.
