Depends what you would define as an idiot… Many people who claim to not be an idiot are idiotic in ways that they completely overlooked and filled that blank with a victimized excuse to escape responsibility and called it “life…” Being an idiot comes in many shapes but awareness and understanding of these hidden traps are important!!!

As someone who is an avid rap listener there are some subgenres of rap more articulate and intelligent than others however the mainstream rap I would never consider as such idk why he claimed "rap" as such. @@ADUAquascaping did you read my reply thoroughly? Not sure what point you're trying to get across to me as I stated much of mainstream rap is trash nowadays. Peterson's comment on rap being articulate should not even apply to most mainstream rap nowadays that's essentially a fallacy. @@ADUAquascaping I think you are using articulate and enlightened interchangeably when they are two different things. I personally like rappers who are articulate and try to make songs that sound good while telling a story, but I don't confuse them as being enlightened individuals. Utterly bizarre, isn’t it? Boys should all know how to physically defend themselves and their loved ones. I agree with Jordan that mental acuity and the ability to convey thoughts verbally are more important skills in life more broadly, but the confidence to be able to feel safe in any situation inspires the individual to be able to grow into a competent and capable person in whatever they set their mind to.

How do you know you are dangerous? You don't know you're dangerous. Every man is dangerous. If you admit your own flaws, you start to take control of it. Once you have control over it, you then ceases to be dangerous. This is why the scriptures say all men are sinners. He who say he's not a sinner is a sinner and the one who admits his own sin then proceeds to be purified.

I was homeschooled and it made me cool. My nephews are home schooled and they are extreme weirdos. When homeschooling make sure to get your kids out of the house and around their peers. Sports etc. Situations where they can fail others and also learn to work together, socialize, and make friends. Most of all... make them go outside and work. Start very very young making them work. Like 5 years old. Work is supposed to be like breathing... nobody minds breathing.

@@SmartestDumbGuy it's surprising that that stigma is still around. That problem has been remedied in the last few decades. @@VeritasIncrebresco It depends a lot on where you live and what community you are talking about. Where I live homeschooling is still done by individual families although they do gather once a month as a group for science lectures. The biggest problem I see is that where I am from most homeschool families fit generally the same mold. Good Christian families with highly educated parents and a good work ethic and similar to the point of almost identical morals. The same is true of most of the “socializing” these kids get. They are around other church families. They do 4H with other pretty much like minded people. But regardless of how hard the parents try there really aren’t good teamwork building experiences (outside the family which is very different than with people at work or other situations) and the kids have practically no exposure to people with other frames of thought or morals or values or politics. I mean they might discuss it at home but that’s very different than working with or going to school with people who are vastly different than your own family. I wonder if that makes kids more firm in their foundations and better able to navigate a world that mostly disagrees with them or if they are going to really flounder and struggle. None of the kids I know are old enough to know how this will play out yet. I know how it played out with the kids my age that I grew up with who were homeschooled, then end result was several out of wedlock babies.

That's not entirely true. The rap artists I grew up listening to are incredibly lyrical. 2Pac, Nas, Mobb Deep, Outkast, and nowadays J.Cole, Kendrick, Big Scarr and Drake to name a few. I don't find rappers particularly articulate. In the sense sense of them being coherent. 99.9% of the lyrics are just dumb. Maybe you could say they are verbose but is that a plus when you aren't saying anything interesting? Then again it depends on your point of view, I suppose. For someone unexperienced and new to that genre it will be novel and interesting. Very much like pong was awesome when it was made but not so much now(to me).

That's why the beduoin Arabs converted to Islaam because Muhammed (upon him be peace) produced a linguistic miracle, in the form of the Qur'aan (which he claimed was divine revelation to him as was given to previous Prophets like Moses, Jesus etc. - peace be upon them all), infront of a nation who were masters in poetry, articulation in speech etc. but not literature.

@Prasanth Thomas To the eye of the observer that is exactly what APPEARED to be happening - the Qur'aan is known for figurative expression.😏 Listen to Arabic/translation on KZfaq & you will understand. You will appreciate this amazing style of poetic expression with metaphorical & literal first person (Muhammed himself) & second person address (his community & the rest of mankind ((including us)) till the end of the world & the establishment of a Day-of Judgement) to mankind by Allah/God - similar to the Psalms. And then to put the icing on the cake, the proposition that it is an inspirational address from Allah/God to an ILLITERATE man, who was well known for his honesty & good character, in a community that lacked both these two things - biblically Prophetic. And containing no scientific inaccuracies or contradictions. And revealed over 23 years, recorded in memory (initially) & narrated to the community till death of the Prophet Muhammed (may Allah's Peace be upon him). That's the miracle.🤷🏾‍♂️😏😇🥇🏆🌹...

Dangerous in this case goes way beyond being able to physically fuck someone up. He may have a "squeaky ass voice" but the amount of ppl he can influence is more dangerous than any amount of physical strength...

What about the popular mumble rap? For the first time I disagree with Mr. Peterson. Rappers are NOT idolized because they are articulate 😆 It’s because they symbolize someone who gets women/sex, money and power. This is what young men want in order to feel manly. Teenage boys don’t idolize their articulate male teachers.

No idea what he means about rap having some verbal prowess when all most of us hear is indiscernable slang that region specific, all to these boisterous tunes that drown the lyrics, and then you can usually summarize what you hear as pointless gloating. Any child can gloat. Not every child can contrast nihilistic to conservative (as in literally conservation of personal life and legacy) thought in a short poem to a rthymn not made by instruments. I guess he might have a point conceptually. Just don't get the chosen example.
