I’m locd now because I got too lazy for the daily cowashes (4A tightly coiled 4b4c) my hair grew like a weed once I followed Dickeys advice of the tighter the curl pattern the more frequently water is needed. I shampoo washed every 5 to 7 days. Now I wash weekly and spray with water and tea tree oil every 2 to 3 days because locd/clumped hair holds moisture longer.

Great video!!! I would love to bring out my hair pattern and wear it.I didn't think that my hair had an acceptable enough pattern (my ignorance).I didn't think I had good hair. Thank you,Dickey.

This was the best Dickey video I’ve seen with regard to different hair textures. In previous videos, I could never find a female client that matched my hair texture; close, but something was missing. I loved that men were used in this video. This video was more explicit and detail oriented. I like that Dickey recommended other drugstore products to compliment the Hair Rules line. That part was missing for me. My texture is the same as Silvio’s hair! (The second guy). Eureka! Thx Dickey 💆🏽‍♀️💁🏽‍♀️

Washing my hair daily has changed my life as I got older my hair got more like Blake's. I wonder if it always was and it was just perpetually dry my entire life making think it was more unmanageable. lol

I never met Dickey and never went to his shop but he is the reason my hair looked like it did on the left side of my profile photo. I got tired of all that hair thus the right side of the photo lol. But if you follow what Dickey says your hair will stay on your head and not end up on the floor.

Whats your thought on using black soap for kinkier textures vs shampoos.

Does the no suds shampoo lightly cleanse ? I'd have to use one that will properly cleanse after a period of time ?

I've been confused for a while: if the hair loves water so much, where does this idea of "hydral fatigue" come from?

Probably from the extremes--like those who deep condition overnight and never let their hair dry. I think it's less popular now, but about a decade or so ago there were practices like the baggy method, greenhouse effect, etc. which essentially never allowed the hair to dry. I think it's less popular now, but I can see how these practices can lead to weaker hair. (Not to mention mildewy hair in some cases.)
