I hope to also make a course in the future where I can share a lot more, but I don't have them available publicly right now.

I personally would want a property manager if you are permanently abroad. A manager's job is to represent you, and a good one will handle tenant or maintenance problems, lease the unit when it is vacant, and even inspect it for you regularly (and send you videos). As long as you build a really good team, you may rarely or never have to visit. I currently live locally and don't see all my properties that often!

@@CoachChadCarson Hi, thanks for responding. Just so I understand, there seem to be a few levels in the sense that the word manager is an umbrella term. Property manager, manager and the team that works under the manager. Have I got it right? The reason I am asking is because I am going to make a video where I will talk about creating long term stability for ex pats here in Italy. So, I’d like to mention the idea of rental properties. It seems like a good idea but based on your answer, only if your physical presence isn’t required on a regular basis. Unfortunately, this path isn’t for me but if I’d like to suggest it others. You never know who might find it useful.

Or is Property Manager just a generic term and interchangeable with agent for owner.

There are 3rd party mail forwarding services who will forward, scan, and email all your mail to you. When i traveled, i hired someone locally whom i trusted to do same thing.

It's a personal choice, but I hire property managers. And I definitely would out of state. But I do know some people who have self managed their out of state rentals. You'll need to build a team of service providers and someone to help you with leasing (for a fee).

Property management for others is a little more time intensive, and most people are local. Doesn't mean it's not possible, but you'd probably need to build up your management business and relationships over time and hire people to help you. It'd be just like any other business - you need good people and systems to help you.

Like why would an already remote property owner hire a remote dummy who’s across the continent to manage his property?😂😂😂 what if there’s a fire, the property owner isn’t going to find out for days, what if a pipe bursts in a tenants room in the middle of December?
