AND I was given an old Apple TV so thats why I'm playing around with it and my laptop ...connected an old tv to my laptop and this is great because now I can seeeeee! I have a 13 inch MacBook Pro that I "upgraded" from an 8 year old Mac desktop

Thanks for the post. I've been going nuts trying to move the secondary display "above" my MacBook screen. Wish Apple would stick with text or image options. Not mix both together.

Hi, Well explained i now know how to use it all from change sides to allocate ir in the same level and use the larger screen as a main screen with search bars etc... amazing info well done and compressed video with out all the unnecessary stuff. With Thanks Ricardo

A bit superficial: Let's say I want to use Macbook trackpad and keyboard but not the screen and use external display as if it were the only display (only bigger) What display settings and arrangement do I use? How do I control how the cursor moves between the laptop and external monitor so It doesn't get lost? How to control where (What edge) windows move between the two displays? How do I see the thumbnails for multiple desktops on the external display? How to set up the Macbook in"Clamshell Mode" so it remains closed and use the esternal monitor with a second keyboard and mouse?
