How to level your RV manually, using a LCI system. In this video I am going to take you through the steps of how to level your RV and share reasons of why you would want to level your RV manually instead of using the Auto Level System. One of the main reasons I like to manual level my RV is if I am in a un-level campsite that will take my front wheels of the ground, which I do not like, so I will use the manual level to raise the front wheels up a little bit higher to put blocks underneath the tires and then bring the front of the RV back down on top of the blocks.

I have had my camper 6 yrs. In the last 2 months all it says is error!!! I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, NOTHING WAS WORKING!!! listened to this, went out, first try, worked like a dream. It his video has probably saved me thousands of dollars. No one wants to work on anything. I am positive the repair place would have tried to sell me a new system. So a BIG, THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Thank you so much...I bought a 2017 thor four winds with the lci leveling system but no manual for the leveling system, long story short, did not know how to enter manual mode to leveling my rv manually. Thanks to you, I can now manually level my RV.

Kenny is back! Like I had a double take on the date of the video! Keep it going, I'm sure I can come up with a list of topics/ideas that will help me with my Sightseer, including this new video. Hope you and Sabrina are well and staying safe! Matt

Hi Matt, our Vista and your Sightseer should have very similar systems, so if you think of any questions I will do my best to answer them and make a video about it. Sabrina and I are planning on being at the Winnebago Rally in July, maybe we will see you there!

Good to see you on KZfaq again. As I have the same RV as you I'm always interested in you videos.. The one on the tortion bar reset was very helpful.

Here I sit and watch my friend.., great video.. I love my levelers, I can use each levelers independently. Of course my coach levels with air or hydraulic. I love it.

Thanks Doug, I wish it would let me operate the levelers independently. I think that is a great feature and would be very useful.

You should be able to push two buttons at the same time for individual jack, like front + left for the front left jack. Works on mine and my friends

Yeah, KZfaq usually blocks links. There is nothing I can do on my end to allow then to come through. I am definitely going to give it another try. It would be very helpful to be able to fine tune our level.

So, I have now tried this a few times and I can get it to work, but only sometimes. It seems I need to be right on with my timing of pushing both buttons. Most of the time, it is not allowing me to do it. I appreciate you letting me know that it is actually possible!

Thank you Kenny for making this video. I’m an auto manual person but Nancy wants me to be more manual cause people told her it’s easier so now I’ve gotta try it. Say hi to Sabrina

Jeff, I think once you get the hang of it, it's easier and faster than the auto setting, plus I like that I can fine tune the setup. You know Sabrina and I saw you & Nancy getting on a bus last year, we think maybe at the Albuquerque Ballon Fiesta, we tried to catch you guys, but we were too far back and you were already boarded. I hope the manual leveling works out for you. Hope to see you on the road or at next year's Winnebago Rally

This being our only RV, we have always had power levelers and are probably very spoiled by them. Can't go with the tried a true level, that us for sure, but the door trick is pretty good for those one night stays. Take care and safe travels!

Absolutely Great Explanation the way anybody else can't do. It took me awhile to find this video and I have used all possible and related keywords. Well we managed to level out our A Class into perfect level. Here is the only question I have. Can we calibrate the LCI now that it is in perfect level? Thank you
@MovingForwardAdventures
@MovingForwardAdventures Жыл бұрын
Glad it helped out! Now that you are level, you should be able to use this new point as your home level point following these steps. 1. Once the trailer is level, turn off the touch pad. 2. With the touch pad off, press and release the “FRONT” button five (5) times and then press and release the “REAR” button five (5) times. 3. The touch pad will flash and beep and the display will read “ZERO POINT CALIBRATION ENTER to set, Power to Exit”. 4. To set the current position as the zero point, press the “ENTER” button. 5. LCD display will read “Zero point stability check”. 6. LCD display will read “Zero point set successfully” once process is complete. I am out on a trip right now without my manual, but I found this on Etrailers website. Let me know if that works. If not I can check the manual once I get back home.

@@MovingForwardAdventures You did lot of extra work.for us. I have seen how to calibrate it so again, thank you for the etrailer guide. I will do the calibration tomorrow since we have it in perfect level now. There is no other video with the explanation saying 2 jaks will work always together. I was hoping so but now thanks your vid I know for 100%. Well have a save traveles...we are heading to big band in 10 days. Sorry for my English..hope it's understandable.

My jacks are faster doing it manual too. However, my system is different, apparently. The left and right control only the rear jacks, not the front. So my routine is different, using the left and right on the rear jacks to level things left to right, and when that's done I put the front jacks down, which go down together using the front button, but they adjust independently so the pressure on each front jack is the same. Hopefully, the fronts will extend long enough to level things out front to rear. The front jacks that independently adjust for even pressure prevents twisting the chassis when camping.

It's surprising of how many different systems and methods of operation are out there. I wish we could operate each jack independently, it sounds like a nice feature. Take care and safe travels!

Great video, thank you! I have a 2018 Thor Windsport - my leveling system will not work unless the unit is plugged into shore power. Camping World tells me that's the way it works - doesn't make sense to me. Shouldn't the LCI system work without shore power? When I try to level the way you shoe in your video - I get a low voltage error.. Will appreciate your thoughts.
@MovingForwardAdventures
@MovingForwardAdventures Жыл бұрын
If it is setup like ours which I think it would be it should work without shore power. Our Jack's operate off our chassis/starter battery so we need to have our RV running, if I push the power button too fast after startup I will sometimes get a low battery message, but then goes away once the engine is running for a second or two. I think you may have a battery issue and probably an easy way to test it is, if you have the battery boost button push and hold that while turning your LCI on. The boost from the house batteries should bring your chassis battery up to the proper level. If that works and doesn't give you the low voltage error I would then say you have a bad chassis battery. I hope all of that makes sense, I have a tendency to ramble in text

@@MovingForwardAdventures Thank you - great information. I was told by Camping World that the LCI worked off of the house batteries. I replaced those - didn't change a thing. The only battery I haven't changed in th four years we have owned the RV is the chassis battery - probably due for replacement. I will try the things you shared. Thank you so much!

Ours definitely works off the chassis battery. I would think all the manufacturers wired them the same, but you never know. Good luck and let me know if you think of any other questions. - Kenny

I always use manual mode because the auto mode ALWAYS causes the front end to lift up too much.
