What about determining serpentine belt size when going to a smaller pulley say from 3.2 to 2.8 on an Eaton tvs2 sc?
Thank you. Def pointed me in the right direction. I was able to find the correct belt! Great video and thank you for the help!

What size belt do I get for the 4 inch pulley?
@dannyjohnsonsgarage Жыл бұрын
75.5” is stock with a 3.65” upper pulley. You’re supposed to add 1” for every .5” of pulley, so probably 80” but it depends on other pulley sizes on the supercharger belt system

Is there an easy way to measure it without taking it off the car? I just bought a used 2011 GT 500, and I don’t know what size pulley is on the car or what has been done to it. I don’t really want to take anything apart at the moment

The caliper tool going directly across will get you close, and maybe subtract the lip of the pulley. Removing the belt part won’t be bad if you want to run tape around the pulley itself as seen

I’m guessing if you measure in mm it still is 3.14 ? The pie could care less in what that number would be because it’s the round part . That would say if you measure and divide it will be in the scale of measurement was. That’s a big thank you also I had no idea about the tape and measuring that way ! I’ve always been confused by this any way you measure the belt in a round way . Like around all the pulleys I thought why Do they measure the pulley across ? Makes no sense I figured that the pulleys should be measured like the belt ! But hey they figured out so that’s good enough for me as long as I can figure how much slower or faster I need and how to do it ! Hey the jobs done it works I’m happy !
