Hi what’s the difference between the measuring tape that your using vs the 1 from the hardware store

20 and a half?! I was always told I had a small head and mine is 21 and a quarter.

In an older video, the ear-to-ear measurement was taken along the top of the head, unlike in this video where it's taken along the crown. Which one's preferred? I hope that it's the latter, otherwise the average/large size would be a bit too big for me.
