I have melted 1 ring in a bamboo stick and incurred no loss.

Is bamboo needed to burn by reacting with oxygen so that the metal does not oxidize? Can I use other wood/charcoal?

I should try it🔥but one "Wrap" ring has 20 small diamonds the appaiser said $20/ea.. will the diamonds just seperate and can be tweezed out?

If we melt 22ct ornament, we get 22ct bar or 24ct bar?

If you melt 22K , then you will get 22K itself . Infact the karatage might decrease because it the ornaments will be melted together with its soldering paste

@@GoldArts I been wearing my mothers necklace since she passed away in 2013.. I never took it off... Its a very thin chain, 1mm or less thick... I also have gold that she bought me when I was a kid that I can no longer use.. I always wondered if I could get the gold melted down to create a thicker more masculine chain from all the sentimental gold... Would be the best option but I don't think there is a place near me that does this procedure... When i asked they told me they can't do it with 14k gold jewelry that it has to be pure gold. I never understood why.

No. Not necessarily it needs to be 24K. It can be easily made in 14K Gold. Why not ? You yourself can google 14K jewellery and see the results. Your old jewellery can be melted down and be made a more thicker chain for sure

@@GoldArts i guess they were trying to make it sound more complicated to charge a higher price. They were saying different metals have different melting points and that they would have to extract the gold from it etc... It never made sense to me.. you melt it,, mold it, and make a chain.. wish you were in NY lol. Thanks for the responses.. appreciated.
