I just had a Pioneer AVH-521EX installed. It has RCA inputs. I got am HDMI to composit adapter. When I screen mirror via HDMI, the screen image is distorted and doesn't even fill up the head unit screen. Nowhere near as clear as in your video. Does that sound right or am I doing something wrong?

Basically the cable is hdmi on the end I plug my phone into with the apple lightning adaptor and then the 3 rca on the rear of the unit. Also from the lightning adapter can I charge my phone at the sand time. Sry to be a pain but is this pioneer head unit res 1080p or 720p spec. Is that’s shitty Apple cable.. mine does that same shit on my tv lol.. sometimes mine will not mirror Netflix on my tv. There will be no picture just audio. I believe Apple has something to do with shutting it down. It’s a common problem. If I reset my phone with the lighting convertor plugged in then it’ll usually work. Maybe a loophole lol? No clue

Of coarse this would work! Every receiver head unit should have HDMI in and they don’t. I think it’s ridiculous that wireless video mirroring isn’t built into every receiver. Whose controlling this feature? Government regulation?
