Well I mean no such good, or bad I mean. I record with plugin all the time now actually. 1. As you said give you the sense of how it sound in mix ready. 2. Save me time for mix. 3. I can adjust my vocal while recording to fit the fx that I put. So, I mean I dont seem there a problem. But the is 1 point I wanna mention is like, you should understand the process, and knowing the vocal, so that all this preset fx that you do for recording before mix it make sense.

I usually come up with my best mixes when I do this. But, in the times that I don’t, I get so frustrated trying to make it sound good that I just start from scratch after wasting two weeks lol

@@mattbarachko5298 yup my mixes are getting better and I still do this routine when recording vocals. I'll do like a whole verse, then half process it like eq, compression reverb etc... That way I'm not wasting my time on a full performance and come mixing time and it sounds like poo lol... Mix as you go now and apparently it's a common practice. But it's also not everyones preferred way. To each there own

I am not saying you are wrong but he literally simplified it by using all this processing in a simple track.
