GIC, or glass ionomer cement, is a dental restorative material that can be used as a filling material, sealant, liner, or luting cement.
Glass ionomers, which are becoming more popular as the demand for tooth-colored restorations grows, offer distinct advantages over alternative restoratives, most notably the ability to release fluoride.
