I just spent about 3 and a half hours trying to figure out how to mod my new 3ds xl, and change the region because I bought it from Japan. Sadly; all the videos are outdated now. Thank you so much! This was overall the simplest and fastest way to do both!

Can you still use Pokemon bank once the homebrew is installed after changing region? Lots of people where saying pokemon bank wasnt able to be used once youve modded these ?

No you need to follow another tutorial that i have out. Just follow the one that does not have «new» in the title

Just delete everything from your sd card and upload everything from the files from the bio. Then follow what i do right after installing luma

so at 7:23 do you have to go into that same section on the homebrew thing again or did it already do what it needed too before/after crashing

Is it possible to region change the N3ds after already doing a region change? Like Japan -> EU -> USA. It'd be cool to have my actual region in Mii Plaza since it currently only has EU, which makes sense since it is in that current region after the first region swap from Japan. Great Video btw, worked smoothly for me!

@@RetroBoyy do you have a tutorial for this? or any tips on doing the region change to the US? I followed everything in this tutorial with no problems (great vid btw, best one out there) and only realized it's been set in the EU after.

If you want to change just because it says eu then dont. There is a chance of bricking and nothing will change. It is region unlocked either way. Only thing that will change is the region letters in settings.

@@RetroBoyy @RetroBoyy what if I still wanted to do it anyway? There are some games that I'd like to play in the US version because of its differences. Is the bricking chance something that we can't control and just happens randomly or do we just have to make sure to do it right?

twilight menu wont work anymore i get an error like this an error has Occurred: Unable to mount CTRNAND or load the CTRNAND FIRM Please use an external one. Press any button to shutdown . I used the TWL fix but nothing works

You have to delete everything. All traces of it Even on the sd card. Then reinstall

during the region change part, I only got EU, how do I get the USA version?

You need a different file. EU and USA versions are basically the same since they are modded and have no region lock. So i do not recommend region changing to USA

This does not work on old 3ds Xl. And it had to be updated to the latest version.

question , sorry if its stupid ive notice alot of people are changing the region to the European version , is it just better then united states ? or its the same thing because its English ?

Its the same thing. Both are region unlocked so it does not matter if its the region eur or usa. I just like to pick one so there is not confusion for the viewers

great vid, easy and straight to the point. When I scan the code and hit "go go" instead of doing the exploit i get an error message. "an error has occurred. if there is any software being played, immediately save the data and turn off the power." (translated with google lens). After clearing the cookies and, turning off the new 3ds XL, I still get the same issue during that step. please help.

The file arm11code.bin is missing or misplaced. Make sure to copy the files of the latest version of super-skaterhax for your region and version to the root of your SD card (not inside of a folder).

I believe that i read its not possible. But if your main concern is save files transfer, you could always use checkpoint.

Yes. It does not matter if its Europe or USA. Because they are region unlocked anyways so you can play games from all regions.
