Nice model! Not best to be honest, but still good job! And about your description, He has right mount of fingers (4 - thumb included), if you would add 5 fingers, it would look weird. Also I found other things about model to be better too, but again It's nice.

If I’m being honest with blender I wouldn’t copy stuff just take the idea maybe if it’s for some kitchen appliance or something small like that then yeah but a whole charecter is just something you should do yourself with taking some tips and a lot of inspiration to make it look better because everyone kinda has a diffrent way of modeling
