Hello Alf, that's a good clue. Behind the large rubber cap on the left side of the tank, the plug connections for the position lights and fog lights are already available. In these two 4-pin connectors, the indicators are connected in pos. 2+3. Pos. 1+4 are for position light and fog lights. At the HD dealer you get the necessary plug-in contacts for 1€ each.

FYI the part number for the left turn signal cap for the deluxe is 71500471 in case anyone wants to order it through your Harley davidson dealer :)

Thanks Alf. just done this and found that if you loosen the internal silver screws the cap comes off easy. For the right side also loosen the clamp holding the front brake to get to the internal silver screws. Cheers. Oh and there is the extra button here in Australia ( 2019 model ) - right side also has a second switch, no idea what it is for though

Hi Alf I have installed the extender caps to my sport glide best thing ever easier to reach with thick gloves. I did also have the same trouble as ad78 with reving up on turning right signal on. I found the second switch in my aus bike after I installed them and was set up to work..

Can you suggest replacement mirrors for a sportster , which when mounted as standard allow you to view a better uninterrupted area , say for when joining a dual carriageway or similar, without them costing a fortune, cheers.

I want to fit extended turn signal switches to my Sport Glide but Harley say they can't supply them due to lead paint being used in their production and European law so does anybody have a part number or link to extended turn signal switches that will fit the Sport glide? Cheers
