Since having my baby, I've kind of been living in finger detangled, braid outs as well! Sometimes I don't even have a chance to fully let them dry but I've discovered that taking them out even if damp and letting them air dry, while I finish getting dressed, before fuffing/teasing then it turns out great! I feel like I get a result similar to a stretched wash n go.

Cosmic Head from my knowledge and experience Americans call them braids. Where I'm from (Caribbean) it's known as plats also and braids for us are known as the synthetic hair added to our hair when styling....

Nikki Joseph Maybe Americans from certain regions like Cali because Miami is plats all the way. Braids, is to the scalp like corn rows. The first people I ever heard say braids were Caucasian

Hi Alisha, when I do this my hair comes out with so much fly aways ie small fine hair all over. I tend to think this is why I don't get so much definition. Do you have any tips on ensuring that the braids are sleek with no "fly aways"

I think people refrain from doing so because the typing system doesnt seem to be very concrete and whenever someone claims to have a certain type of hair there is a big uproar in the comments section saying they typed their hair incorrectly.
