This is what I use to monitor the CPU temps on my PC. Installed it straight in the C Directory shortly after replacing the Celeron CPU with a Core i5 10400 in my HP desktop SFF case last year. I monitor the CPU Core Package in the system tray and all the other available hardware monitors in the gadget.

Thank you so much for introducing this software. I almost spent money to buy a raspberry pi screen(and also might need to spend on AIDA) just to monitor my temperature and usage, because I'm not sure which reliable widget I can use. This open hardware monitor has everything I need for free. The gadget is exactly what I need and it has an option to always stay on top. I can just set it at the corner of my screen.

I've used HWinFO 64 and it's setup nearly the same way, with a few exceptions. But, it's great info that you bring forth when trying to setup the equivalent for Linux as well and I just know that I'll have to because nearly every Browser makes/drives you CPU and GPU to unimaginable temperatures, such as 155F temps AMD based laptops (2015) era. It's just damned stupid! I've already replaced my CPU/GPU fans and used very good heatsink compound! 1,) One markedly issue that I'm suspicious of is that I don't believe WIN 10 is utilizing proper memory allocation as should be based on 8 gigs worth, thus making the CPU and GPU to work harder than it should be! 2.) Hardware based algorithms to make the fans turn on sooner, before you get into wicked temperature problems is not being applied. What I've noticed just within the last couple days is that every Chrome and Chromium based browser alternatives is that virtually all of them are now using far more of system resources and thus driving up temperatures when just not too long ago, that wasn't the case. This is quite dastardly for anyone to put up with this madness! All that I know is that there's gonna be a lot laptop processors going up in flames because of it and that is bad; very bad!!!

Yesterday's video was just fine for me. I followed it right along and it worked wonderfully. Of course I understand that it might find it complicated, but I've been around computers for a while so...not a big deal for an old timer like me. :)

Hello. Can we monitor the temperature data at a higher frequency ? for eg. the lowest time resolution is 1 sec. Can we go down to the order of 100 ms?

If you're using iCUE system monitoring software will it override the iCUE? Will there be a protocol issue? Sometimes 2 things doing the same task causes issues.

I currently am using a 6700xt and was thinking about upgrading to an nvidia card... AMD uses the Adrenalin software which displays temps and clock speeds etc. and I can put that on my second monitor to see everything simply. Not saying that some software I have seen doesen't look "easy on the eyes" but it kinda is not as simply put as AMD's software is. I am just looking for something that I can monitor just temps and clock speeds that I can full screen on my second monitor with ought seeing anything advanced (not really interested in overclocking anything) also I know about the nvidia in game overlay but I do not want something taking up the screen of my main monitor.

I Recommend Open Hardware Monitor over anything ! Please use this instead of Asus Armoury Crate or other bloatware with a bunch of unnecessary program executables that make your system less efficient & less stable. Open Hardware Monitor is the way to go! Great content

Thanks, I have a new Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 8 desktop that shuts down and I have to unplug and replug to boot, the same happens when I shut down normally as well, I have to upplug and replug to boot. I wanted to check voltages but this option is not available in Open Hardware Montor for my system! The Motherboard is a Lenovo 376a (Intel X790 Raptor Lake). The options in Open Hardware Monitor are very limited for my system. Is there another option I can use? Thanks again

My most important question would be: if I see fan is not speeding up as response to the heat - how to speed up fans then and cool it down? Would not other software, like I use for my old Gigabyte motherboard, be better to use, like MSI Afterburner? With click you speed up fan on gpu card and cpu fans? Or I am wrong?

For gaming you need to run it overlay if i put my game in the bar CPU temp won't rise anymore

i have gpu... and automatically my igpu is disabled and i don't see a "CPU Package".... when i run the app...it can only see the GPU temp not a Cpu.... is there anyway to see the cpu temp on my end?

I use Libre Hardware Monitor which is a fork of Open Hardware Monitor and offers some extra functionality.

It appears that it is limited with an MSI motherboard

I have one issue with it… I CANT SEE IT! They give you 3/4 preset sizes and you can’t make it any bigger which sucks so if you have a screen dedicated to this you can’t fill the screen

On any computer ? It does not look like it. On my Intel NUC12WSBi7 it does not show any CPU temperatures - only the temperature of the main SSD disk. Seeing that the latest release (0.9.6) of this program is 3.5 years old, it does not really surprise me. The download page does not even mention Windows 11 yet ! Curiously, Speedfan 4.52, which is about the same age, does show all the CPU temps.

Either this doesnt support 12th gen intel chips yet, or they havent updated their website documentation and something is messed up with my machine. Ive used this for years with my 7700 with no issues, but it wont show CPU temp on my 12700k as of 7/30/22.

oh, I don't think we understand each other, I meant a program that will be able to measure the temperature of the cpu and gpu at once in one picture, are my expectations too demanding, this program shows only the temperature of the gpu and loading the cpu but without the temperature

Is it normal for cpu temperature to jump up and down +/-10 degrees each second when its under load? Mine is jumping from 40-55 celcius every second, with a max temp of 66 celcius. i have a corsair icue 150i elite.

I think I hate W11! I downloaded and opened this, then minimized it to see if the temps would show up on my taskbar. The program disappeared and I could not find it anywhere. The W11 search is sh!t! Had to spend a bunch of unnecessary time to find the damn program!

You forgot to show the ridiculous remote web server... You cannot customise it, and it would not show more than one remote web server, does not matter the programs configuration.... (among multiple pc's) This is the exact reason why I wanted to use this program!!! Btw Trigone remote system monitor only has smart device client software... faaaakk... >:(
