It's actually pretty stable and I have the tablet resting on that inner panel so it doesn't vibrate much. But personally on the twisties, you should be watching the road haha. I actually have my app configured so it tells me if I'm overheating or low fuel etc. it's better for more convenient logging location, clearing codes, or possibly passenger entertainment on long drives LOL

Actually you can have it bent so it rests on the inner panel which keeps it pretty steady. During drifting or racing, it's just hard to look at but it's great for logging, clearing codes, and you can also set audio alarms for different parameters. So you can set one up to speak out if you start overheating or low fuel or whatever you want really. It's super convenient

Daniel Johnson well that all depends on how your car is set up and where you're mounting it. since this is a universal mount, it wasn't specific for my car and blocked the seat from moving forward. if your car has more clearance then you may not need to do most of this cutting and bending. hope that helps and feel free to write back I'd you need more help

Initial DIY mods I have all the stuff to do the installation to replace the blue screen. But then I remembered this and I was like.. This sounds so easy! I hooked up the Bluetooth OBD2 and torque pro and was pretty impressed already without doing much else. So now I'm wondering if I really want to replace that blue screen

Haha I totally understand. My wife and I are short too. That's why I bent the bracket a bit so it cleared. Then again, you don't have to mount it in the same spot either. What car are you looking to install it on? There may be other options. Perhaps see if you can find a bracket at home depot that would fit better and then bolt to that. You can bolt to anything metal basically so perhaps having it bolted somewhere under the dash by the passenger foot compartment may work better depending on length

So I didn't see this comment earlier. Yeah I have seen a few different blue screen relocations where it was put in the glove box, center console in front of the shifter (bk1 I believe), or put where the sun glasses holder is (that looked pretty cool) but it looked like a lot of work too. For all parts installed, this tablet install would be your easiest option. You could also bolt to the metal behind the plastic instead of doing it to the seat rail bolt. It would be less reversible but if you did it more towards the foot well on the vertical carpet on the passenger side. You'd have to cut and peel a small section of carpet and bolt to the metal behind it and it would be super sturdy, but you'd need a nutsert or something to screw into since the metal is too thin to expect a sheet metal screw to hold strong enough
