How To Move Objects Anywhere In The Sims 3 🔨 | Cheats & OMSP & Mensure | Sims 3 Tips and Tricks

◁◁ These tips truly are game changers when it comes to Sims 3 build and buy mode!
In this video I’ll show you basics to pro ways so you really can place objects anywhere and everywhere! Hello clutter and lived-in looking realistic builds!
Items no longer will snap to the grid, you can move items up and down on an invisible surface and layer objects.
Start with the basics of using the Alt key and testingcheatsenabled true, moveobjects on and move onto downloading the OMSP package and some other awesome custom content for placing objects!

I cannot believe, for all the years i had sims and played it i never knew about the alt button. My god, i can make the perfect looking clutter now. How on earth did i never hear of it?!!

If you hold alt you can freely move wall objects up and down too, like paintings, lights, the shelf above bookcase. You can use moveobjects on without testing cheats first. If you are turning off a cheat pressing the up arrow with cheat bar open brings up the last cheat you entered so can just change on to off without typing the whole cheat again. Alt and layering is great with ceiling lights too. Xx If you press the m key will move items to different slots. Control and shift on lights will also let you change colour and brightness in build mode. You can disable snapping with cheats and use alt key to move counters and make a kitchen island. The top counter to go with your units will fit over a fridge. There’s also an omsp for fridges too.

Mango Sims also has a set of OMSP's that are good for seating, beds, counters, dining tables, coffee tables, etc.

Oh my heavens!! I have been playing Sims 3 for eons and have been using cheats and mods all along and am just NOW learning of the OMSP mod!?! I have seen the OMSP in a few CC creators things but I never knew what it was. I am an idiot! Thank you for this thorough video on how to clutter up my sims houses even more! ❤❤❤

After over 15yrs of playing Sims, mostly 2/3, and only now I found out of the Alt trick and those extra squares. Always just used the moveobjects, luckily at least that. And just like that, it took only 15 mins and I'd wanna rebuild everything... :'D ~ Honestly, great video, now having all the reasons to continue building all new ideas, so thank you for the tips!

@@emilyrochelle Have done that only for the wall decorations or lamps that normally are movable by click+drag after placing them, but not for any other objects.

@@emilyrochelle If I remember right the potraits have to be placed on the wall first, let go and then click and hold again to move them up and down by dragging only with the mouse, i think. But not every walls object allow it, but most potraits, lamps and selfs. Hopefully this helps!

Funnily enough I found that invisible counter on Around the Sims after I did this video! I think it’s like the mensure counter. If you’re upgrading your computer I would definitely consider an i5 upwards 💚

I have Sims 3 through steam and the omsp I got set up but the shelf is nowhere to be found. Should it be the post pets version from 2011? I did both and the shelf does not appear
