@@g3nz0d Hi there not sure how Brooke is doing but I can share my story. Married 25 years 2kids & I am a man. Loved my wife & kids. I thought id never get divorced. My wife started feeling she wasnt "Happy". It bothers me when people say that. Marriage is not necessarily about your personal happiness. Its about growth, compromise, learning highs & lows going through it together you know for better or worse thats what I believed. Well my wife was on social media a lot. She was comparing her life to others I believe. She wanted to leave, she wanted to be " Happy". We both went to individuaI counseling as well as couples counseling. It was in couples couseling when I finally woke up & realized I can never make this woman " Happy". It was then I told her I dont think I want to be with you anymore. She was shocked. She never thought this good nice guy would ever say that. She still wanted to move out & work on the relatioship she said. You cant have your cake & eat it to I told her. She moved out with my daughter & my son lives with me. Her moving out broke my heart. I continuied with counseling & ironcally started doing everything the video mentioned. Counseling, confiding in trusted friends about feelings, going to the gym, doing outside activites. I feel " Great". It has been 9 months now. I love the new person I have rediscovered. All my friends said they missed this person. I had lost myself trying to be the best husband for her. My son loves seeing his dad like this as well as my couselor & friends. Guess who else like it? My soon to be ex wife. She wants me back. No way. I have discovered such peace. I didnt realize how toxic & contentious she was.I love her shes the mother of my children. I forgive her but im moving on. The thought of getting back with her brings anxiety & negative emotions that I havent had in 9 months. I dont hold any resentment I have already forgiven her but the future seems so exciting for me im literally so pumped up. I do have tough days but my faith in the Lord, going to church & being involved in my local commuity has helped me get through a very tough time. Helping other people by volunteering not just thinking about myself has helped tremendously. I share this with you to encourge you. If I can heal from a 25 year marriage so can you. Just pray to God and ask Him to help you & He will help you in ways that will astound you. Anyway sorry for the length of this messege I just wanted to let you know some back ground. Going through a crucial break up. Feel like my heart is being ripped out every minute of my existence. When no one is around sadness creeps in and everything rewinds in my mind. She loved me with her heart and soul and i still let her go for her good. Can’t get off her. But i know i did the right thing for her even though she hates me for it but i still love her and won’t ever stop doing so no matter where she lives. I needed this right now. We broke up just the other day, I tried to admit my fault and apologize but he said he can't handle my paranoia and my being negative anymore. He can't understand that I suffer from depression and anxiety and that I am a pessimist and an overthinker. I forgive and forget too easily. I just recently discovered that forgetting has been my curse and weakness because they do it over and over again. Now Im learning how to forgive and remember because it gives me clarity of mind and helps me set healthy boundaries. I think it helps you take your power back and stay in control if you keep bitterness out of it. Remove the person from the pedastal. They are not what you create them to be. They were good until they became bad and have capabilities to hurt you without a care. Let that flicker because you have a responsibility to guard your heart. That is biblical as well.

Hey Lowk. I went through a breakup 3 days ago as well, with a fiancee of 5years... I thought she's my "the one" and we told one another multiple times that this is for "eternity"... But after night out recently she broke up with me, and her reason was very similar to your ex's - go and have fun, chase lust and butterflies. But we have to move on, this was their choice. Just know that if not now then it would still have happened later and there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop a person from becoming who they want to be (i.e. to express their true identity / desires). Let it be, block her, remove her friends from your lists / feed, and move forward. Now there's only you so take care of yourself friend.

Cheer up G-Lowk I'm just getting out of a toxic relationship myself. Yes it hurts bad. It's hard when you give your all only to be, unappreciated. Yesterday it hit me hard and I was depressed. So I went to the park with peanuts and fed the squirrels. I felt a lot better cause I knew the little creature appreciated me. Better to be alone than to be with a person who is wrong for you! Yep basically happened to me! Im pretty sure I've been with a narcissist this whole time. He discarded me 2 weeks ago. After 18 years together this all makes sense, he used his sly skills to keep me there until he found a new supply. When he broke it off, it was the most lies I've ever heard. Its me its not you, im not happy, need to be alone find myself, we kept trying but didn't work (he never tried only when he wanted) we're different, i was showing signs. My god i saw every single sign. Absolute mixed signs and I didnt know that's a form of manipulation. He knew when to use me and discard me. I always apologised he never once did even for the smallest thing. Made me question my sanity? He has his chat with me and was done. Fast forward a few days im obviously a mess got completely blindsided! My gut was telling me no, it's that hes got someone new. My suspicions were correct! This whole time behind my back he was talking to someone and used me slowly until he was ready to have the 'chat' with me. I went over to confirm my suspicion and that POS after 18 years that I gave him my whole world and what my family gave him he just shat on it! He opened the door and he knew right then oh crap, I just got caught out, but I only knew because I saw her car in his driveway and he quickly tried to hide us from seeing each other. I asked him to be a man and step outside and give me the honest truth and all he could say is you need to leave, she clearly didn't have a clue he even had a gf this whole time because when I started screaming out hes a cheater a liar and everything under the sun the first thing he did was yell youre a psycho! A psycho because I've been hurt and betrayed and asking you the truth?! So he was making me out to be crazy and threatening to call the cops!!! The cops because he got busted with the lies and this girl didn't know anything coz he has fed her with lies! I knew there was more to it when he deleted his social media and he would never do that when I would ask him to because he was infatuated over the instagram models and then say to me no we like natural girls this is all fake, but then still be obsessed with them and that im just insecure! I am so disgusted that allowed my whole time, body and soul to this guy! I gave him my world my heart! He stomped on it all for his new supply?! He used me to better himself for the next person?! That is evil! This is a guy that lost his family and we took him under our wings living with my family gave him a whole new life and he simply shat on us all! The lies and manipulation he has caused me. He's made me feel worthless so disgusting I can't even look at myself while he's already happy out there with someone that I didnt get to see, to see why she is better than me? But I have to think, STOP, its not you. He lied his was with her like he did with you. POS! I've never felt this low in my life. My mental state, he has ruined! Belittled me and I took it all because I just thought i can help him hes depressed or I loved him?! Who does that to another person and wakes up living and breathing like you did not do anything wrong?! All these unanswered questions how did it happen? When did it happen? What does she have I dont? Who is she? Where did you meet? How did I not see anything? My mind is nuts! Im in so much pain from 1 person?! How could 1 person ruin your life and go about their day with the next person? Ao sick! Sick to think he did this for God knows how long and I was used. He mentally detached himself ages ago and I didnt see it? He manipulated me so much that I was the insecure one its all in my head! To only be with me this whole time acting up and down and she was there all along?! So sick! To call the cops? That is insane! It was all about his ego and to make me look pathetic in front of her! Goes to show no matter how long someone can be in your life can still shit on it and continue with theirs! I will definitely get a 'i didnt want to hurt you response' or protect you! Hell no! You did it to protect yourself and your new supply so she doesn't know the real you! POS i didnt see anything in his phone!! He obviously was deleting msgs. Im furious ! If only I dug more I could have ended this months ago because there is no way this had just happened the day after we broke up. He planned it. Especially due to being stuck in a pandemic not being able to see anyone he planned it
