Isn't the whole purpose with the alternate text that it's IS hyphens between the words? (Soo google can read it properly, and blind people can hear it) Can you iterate on this? Thanks for the great tutorial. It's simple yes but it's sooo important. I didn't know about the 5 words or less.

So we put the hyphens in the image file name like this-example-here.jpg for separation of keywords, but alt text is a little different. Alt text is like a caption of a photo. Describe exactly what the image is of (without forceful keyword stuffing). If you are using Wordpress, the AltText.ai plugin is incredible at doing this automatically

@@TorroMedia That is amazing insight (for someone like me who is an amateur) I highly appreciate it!! You just shared a goldmine with me now. Wow. I use wordpress yes. Do you know what those other variables are for? 'image text' and 'description'.

@@audunjemtland8287 Happy to help! Go dig that gold! haha There's other image variables like Caption, Description, and general data pulled from the photo. The more accurate information you can provide is always going to be rewarded, but some of those other fields are more for specific features of a website, like if you want to pull a caption or description into a page, it'll use those fields vs Google seriously analyzing it

@@TorroMedia ;D hehe. *digging* So description and image text could really be left blank without it affecting SEO ? Do you do 1-1 consultations? I need to overwrite old permalinks to new. (I don't want't redirects, I want a clean stable basis without clutter.) I changed permalink structure from default: ?p=123 to Post name: sample-post/ And I messed up indexing. It's a brand new site. But it won't accept the permalink change. Wordpress also states that it needs re-direction. It doesn't sound so healthy to re-direct. I don't want old urls traced anywhere. Or have a permanent re-direct plug-in sitting there.

@@audunjemtland8287 since the website is so new, I wouldn't be as concerned about a major change right now. I'd utilize RankMath SEO and their Redirection settings.
