Enjoy this simple method of naturally dyeing easter eggs using common kitchen scraps. This lesson is from the Iso Dye Club, my new 'Use what you have, pay what you can' eco-printing ecourse (learn.gumnutmagic.com/iso-dye.... The course is designed to help us connect with plants, creativity and other makers.
As mentioned in the video, here's some ideas for more food safe natural dyes: purple cabbage, red and brown onion skins, tea leaves, coffee grounds, turmeric powder. If you have limited access to onion skins, you can put a leaf on an egg, then wrap it in one onion skin and tie firmly. You'll get a beautiful marbled pattern with a subtle leaf print.
