Thank you so much for great information. I am a new agent and am enrolled in your Agent Playbook Training. I am with a privately owned company with 100+ agents, but most of the agents are older. I am so enthralled with your training - it's truly training for todays client base.

Good stuff! This topic doesn't just "kinda scare" a lot of agents... it freaks them out... and that's why they fold so easily... first, they really don't know how to justify what they do in order to earn the fee... no clue, and of course, the public has no clue either... it's a lose-lose situation on both sides! ... A LOT of good in depth training needed on this topic ... thanks!

I agree, Alec! Not enough training on this topic. It's why I dedicate an entire video in my training program called "The Real Estate Playbook" to negotiation techniques. For those interested: travisrobertson.com/trep

Incredible! I like the humor aspect, because I use that quite frequently...I've said 15% and immediately started folding up my presentation...Lol I really appreciate your advice and approach!!! Great stuff!!

Some agents attend all inspections including pest and roof, appraisals and home inspections, electrical, plumbing, code compliance inspections, on and on.... and they deserve more commission than those who do not.

Great way to explain how "we charge 3%" and how much do you want to give the selling agent but what if the homeowner says zero?

If the seller wants to offer 0, then that is their perrogative! We have been using this strategy with great success for 3 years now.

I'm a seller researching how realtors negotiate their commission.. thanks for the tip! Here's my question.. I'm selling my place for $600k... 6% is $32k... at say, $65/hr, that's 492 hours... is that a reasonable commission? Feels like allot to me...

It is obvious, real estate is a good career choice and as we know that real estates’ world depends on sales commissions which is allow you to fund your marketing efforts but if you face delay in it, Increment in frustration can occur. So in New York many third-party companies or management to handle their commission advance in New York and it helps real estate agents to stand on their feet quickly.

i think it might not make any impact when the buyer and the seller knows what percent of commission is currently working in the area and in the industry at that time. Any way its good for new Buyers and new Sellers :D

Very good information! Do you know anything about commission bidding sites such as ListingBidder.com that say you can invite your own list of real estate agents to bid against each other? What is your view point?

who ever said that we were "supposed to" or are "obligated" to pay our peers? Your statement is exactly why agents fail. They rely on other agents to negotiate, set and collect THEIR commissions...

First vide of yours i have seen, but....do you at all think about how manic you seem in your communication style? A perma smile combined with music and fast talking. Say no more. Those are enough for almost anyone to know that this is a fast talking real estate agent, get rich quick, and easy, etc, etc. As a teacher, I wonder if you have had anyone comment about your less than adult communication style.

IF I AM SELLING MY $150,000 HOUSE is my real estate salesman going to work half as hard as he would need to to sell my $300,000 house? DO I REALLY NEED TO PAY TWICE AS MUCH in commissions to my salesman for doing the exact same job? THE ANSWER IS ... Hell no!
